Objectives:To understand the status of self-efficacy,coping style and social participation of peritoneal dialysis patients;And I explored the influence of general information on self-efficacy,coping style and social participation;I analyzed the correlation among self-efficacy,coping style and social participation of peritoneal dialysis patients;I explored the mediating effect of coping style on self-efficacy and social participation.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 184 peritoneal dialysis patients who met the exclusion criteria in peritoneal dialysis centers of Nephrology Department of two tertiary first-class hospitals in Changchun City,Jilin Province from April to August 2018.The survey tools included general information questionnaire,Self-efficacy for managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale,The Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire and Social Dysfunction Screening Scale.The database was established by software Epidata 3.1 and double-entry was carried out at the same time.The data were analyzed by the SPSS23.0 software.In the study I used descriptive statistical analysis,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis,multiple stepwise regression analysis and mediation effect and so on.Results:1.The self-efficacy score of peritoneal dialysis patients was(5.83±1.22).There were significant differences in age,marital status,nationality,educational background,main caregivers,employment situation and annual family income(P < 0.05).2.The scores of coping styles of peritoneal dialysis patients were lower than those of the norm,and the scores of avoidance and yielding coping styles were higher than those of the norm,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).3.The scores of social participation of peritoneal dialysis patients were(10.31±4.72).There were significant differences in age,duration of dialysis,marital status,educational background,living conditions,main caregivers,employment,annual family income,form of medical insurance and monthly medical expenses(P < 0.05).4.Self-efficacy was positively correlated with confrontation of coping style(P<0.01),negatively correlated with avoidance and submission of coping style,and social participation(P < 0.01),confrontation of coping style was negatively correlated with social participation(P< 0.01),and avoidance and submission of coping style were positively correlated with social participation(P < 0.01).5.Coping styles play a part of mediating effect between self-efficacy and social participation,and the mediating effect value was-0.1249.Conclusions:1.Peritoneal dialysis patients have low self-efficacy and poor social participation.The coping styles adopted by patients were face-to-face,avoidance and submission.2.General demographic data has a certain impact on self-efficacy,coping style,and social participation.3.There are two correlations among self-efficacy,coping style and social participation of peritoneal dialysis patients.4.Coping styles play a mediating role between self-efficacy and social participation.
