The stroke has been the leading cause of global maim, with 2.7 million patients with stroke each year.Less walk speed and increased risk of fall in post-stroke patients, many patients even required a long ride on a wheelchair, and the independent daily life ability was greatly affected.Currently, the manual one-to-one guided walking training is affected by the work experience and energy of therapists, and the manual guidance and physical help for patients may not guarantee the accuracy of movements and the safety of patients, which has given the patient a discount on the quality of the training. However, the application of over-ground exoskeleton robot seems to be able to improve work efficiency, save labor costs and standardize training movements to some extent,so that patients can get highintensity,high-repetition and high-quality rehabilitation training.Purpose: To explore effects of the over-ground exoskeleton robot on the recovery of walking ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia.Method: Forty patients with stroke were randomly allocated to the experimental group and control group. Both groups participated in regular training. The subjects in the experimental group added their walking training with over-ground exoskeleton robot 4 times a week for 20 minutes each time. The subjects in the control group received routine one-to-one guided walking training 4 times a week for 20 minutes each time. Before and After 2 weeks of training, the assessment was carried out with the Brunnstrom stages, the Barthel index score, the Berg balance scale, functional ambulation category,"stand up,walk" test time,6 minutes walking distance,10 meters walking time. Results: After the training,Brunnstrom stages,Barthel index score,Berg balance score and functional ambulation category of almost all the subjects were significantly improved, and the improvement is more obvious in the experimental group than in the control group. Conclusions: Short-term lower limb Over-ground exoskeleton robot training may significantly improve lower limb Brunnstrom stage,Barthel index score,Berg balance score and functional walking ability in hemiplegic patients with early stroke.
