Astudy On Correlation Between Allergic Rhinitis Withits Related Cytokines And Obstructive Sleep Apnea-hypcopnea Syndrome In Children

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between allergic rhinitis with the levels in serum of its related cytokines such as IL-12,IL-13,TGF-? and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome in children.MethodsWe collected 62 children who suffered from obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome and underwent adenotonsillectomy from January,2019 to March,2019 in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University,as subjects.All the children underwent medical history-taking,imaging examination,physical examination,OSA-18 scores,PSG,allergen IgE and the levels of IL-12,IL-13,TGF-0 in serum.A retrospective review of above information was done ?The analyze of relationship between allergic rhinitis and the severity of OSAHS in children:children were divided according to AHI and whether existed AR symptoms or not to analysis whether the correlation between AR symptoms and the severity of OSAHS existed or not.And all the children were divided into the positive group and negative group according to allergen monitoring results to compare AHI,LSa02,A/N,tonsil degree within two groups.? The analyze of relationship between allergic rhinitis related cytokines and the severity of OSAHS in children:all the children were divided according to AHI and LSaO2 and compared the level of IL-12,TGF-?,IL-13 in serum respectively to know whether the correlation between cytokines and AHI,LSaO2 existed or not.? The analyze of relationship between allergic rhinitis related cytokines and OSAHS influence factors:all the children were divided according to A/N,tonsil degree and BMI and compared the level of IL-12,TGF-?,IL-13 in serum respectively to learn whether the correlation between cytokines and A/N,tonsil degree,BMI existed or not.Results1.There was statistically significant difference between AR symptoms and the severity of OSAHS in children and there was no statistically significant difference in AHI,LSaO2,A/N,tonsil degree between positive group and negative group.2.The difference in the level of TGF-? in serum within mild,moderate and severe group was statistically significant.Meanwhile,the level of TGF-3 in serum was negatively correlated with AHI(r=-0.475).There was no statistically significant difference in the level of IL-12,IL-13 in serum between three groups.3.There was no statistically significant difference in the level of IL-12,TGF-?,IL-13 in serum within miLd,moderate and severe hyoxemia4.The level of IL-13 in serum was positively correlated with A/N(r=0.408).There was no statistically significant difference in the level of IL-12,TGF-? in serum in different degree of adenoid hypertrophy.5.There was no statistically significant difference in the level of IL-12,TGF-?,IL-13 in serum between different tonsil degrees.6.The difference in the level of IL-12 in serum within normal,moderate and obesity group was statistically significant and there was no statistically significant difference in the level of TGF-?,IL-13 in serum between three groups.Conclusion1.Allergic rhinitis symptoms especially nasal congestion may be an important factor to influence the severity of OSAHS in children,so in the treatment of OSAHS in children we should pay attention to controlling AR symptoms.The allergen monitoring in the pace of indicating the severity of OSAHS is limited.2.The level of TGF-? in serum was negatively correlated with AHI.TGF-? can alleviate the influence of AR symptoms for ventilation by inhibiting Th2 immune response.Measuring the level of TGF-? in serum clinically is helpful to estimate the severity and prognosis of OSAHS in children.3.The level of IL-13 in serum was positively correlated with A/N.IL-13 could induce allergic reaction,aggravate inflammation and irritate the hypertrophy of adenoid through many methods.So,controlling the level of IL-13 maybe helpful for the treatment of OSAHS.4.IL-12 could attend the process of obesity in OSAHS by many ways to influence the severity of OSAHS.Therefor,keep healthy in children maybe good for the treatment of OSAHS.
