Objective:By retrospective study, observe the adjustable spinal external fixator to treat senile thoracolumbar compression fractures in clinical curative effect and imaging before and after treatment, comparing with pedicle screw fixation therapy,to verify that the adjustable spinal external fixator in the treatment of senile thoracolumbar compression fractures of the clinical curative effect, for clinical treatment of senile thoracolumbar compression fractures of non-surgical treatment of choice to provide certain reference basis. Methods:In this study, elderly patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures admitted to suzhou hospital of traditional Chinese medicine on September 1,2016,solstice,February 28,2018 were selected as subjects.According to into The exclusion criteria,27 cases with 54 patients were divided into test group and The control group,27 cases recorded before and after treatment in both groups,8 weeks after treatment, treatment after lumbar dysfunction in 1 score(The Oswestry Disability Index,ODI),visual analog pain score(visual analogue scale,VAS),injured vertebral front high percentage,The changes of The convex Cobb Angle of The vertebral bodies.Statistical software was used to process and compare the data, and the clinical efficacy and imaging improvement of the two treatment methods for middle-aged and elderly thoracolumbar compression fractures were obtained. Results:In this study,3 patients were exfoliated due to different reasons, and a total of 51 patients were eventually included, including 25 patients in the experimental group and 26 patients in the control group. The results were as follows:(1)ODI score after treatment:33.08±1.49%in the experimental group and 27.24±1.21%in the control group after treatment.Independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 8 weeks after treatment, the experimental group was 20.61±1.54%,and the control group was 21.27±1.62%.At 1 year after treatment, the experimental group was 13.60±1.17%,and the control group was 13.23±1.50%.Independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(2)VAS score after treatment:3.84±0.89 in the experimental group and 2.84±0.85 in the control group after treatment, independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the experimental group received 1.96±1.10 points, and the control group received 2.04±1.06 points. At 1 year after treatment, the experimental group received 1.60±0.91 points, and the control group received 1.52±0.82 points.Independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(3)percentage of vertebral anterior margin height after treatment:88.83±0.21%in the experimental group and 90.48±0.22%in the control group.Independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Cobb Angle after treatment:the experimental group was 5.51±0.23 c,and the control group was 4.55±0.30 c.Independent sample t test was used between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)both of the two treatment methods can effectively improve the kyphotic deformity and quality of life of middle-aged and elderly patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures.(2)a certain amount of vertebral height was lost after the two treatment methods, but pedicle screw internal fixation was superior to the adjustable external spinal fixation in the treatment of vertebral height recovery and kyphotic deformity correction.(3)in long-term clinical curative effect treated by adjustable spinal external fixator with pedicle screw fixation treatment no statistical difference, but the early clinical symptoms improved after pedicle screw fixation treatment,(4)adjustable spinal external fixator as a non-surgical treatment, can effectively improve the clinical curative effect of senile patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures in,thus can be used as the doctor non-surgical treatment option.
