Objective: To explore the risk factors associated with acute cholecystitis after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Methods: A retrospective analysis was made of the clinical data of 285 patients treated with ERCP from January 1,2017 to December 31,2018 in the Department of Hepatobiliary Hydatid Surgery,Digestive Vascular Surgery Center of our hospital.Univariate and multivariate logis tic regression analysis was performed to determine the risk factors of acute cholecy stitis after ERCP.Results: In this study,285 cases of operation were successfully completed,26 cases(9.2%)developed acute cholecystitis after operation. In univari ate analysis, diabetes mellitus, chronic cholecystitis, cholecystolithiasis, preoperative white blood cell count, operation time, duodenal papillotomy(EST)and biliary sten ting were associated with the occurrence of acute cholecystitis after ERCP(P < 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes mellitus(P < 0.001),preoperative white blood cell count(P = 0.006),cholecystolithiasis(P = 0.033),EST(P = 0.023),operation time(P < 0.001)were independent influencing fact ors of acute cholecystitis after ERCP.Conclusions: Diabetes mellitus, preoperative white blood cell count, gallstone, duodenal papillotomy(EST)and operation time a re independent risk factors for acute cholecystitis after ERCP.
