The Clinical Observation On Treating Allergic Rhinitis By "The Nape Seven Needles"

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of “Nape Seven Needles” in treating allergic rhinitis.Methods: Sixty patients with allergic rhinitis were selected and divided randomly into “Nape Seven Needles” group(treatment group)and normal acupuncture group(control group),30 cases in each group.The clinical effect of the two groups were compared with outcomes measures,such as TNSS and RQLQ.Meanwhile,we evaluated the clinical effects and safety scientifically.Results: Comparison of total clinical efficacy: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.1%,while the control group was 82.1%,and the effective of the treatment group was better(P<0.05);Compared with the TNSS score,there was significant difference between the two group after treatment(P<0.05),good clinical effects were obtained in both group.The two groups had statistical significance differences after treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better.The comparison of the RQLQ scores of the two groups before and after treatment were significantly different(P<0.05),the two groups have the obvious clinical effect,but no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the scores after treatment(P>0.05),except for ocular symptom and sleepy(P< 0.05).Conclusion: Both “Nape Seven Needles” and normal acupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms and the quality of life of patients with allergic rhinitis,but the treatment group is more effective in improving clinical symptoms,sleep and ocular symptoms.
