The Prevalence Of Hypertension And Diabetesand Their Related Risk Factors In Wuyi County

1 BackgroundWith the development of social economy,people's lifestyle changes,human life expectancy is prolonged.The chronic diease(malignancy,heart cerebrovascular diseases,COPD,diabetes)has become the first cause of death in the world.These chronic diseases are characterized by low low therapeutic and protractive,high morbidity and mortality,which bring overloaded medical expenses to the country.CDC of china counted 320 million people with hypertension.According to the National Diabetes Epidemiology Survey(2007-2008)of CDS,the prevalence of diabetes in men and women over the age of 20 was 10.6%and 8.8%,and the prevalence of diabetes was 9.7%.It is estimated that the total number of diabetes is about 92 million.In 2016,the monitoring data of death causes in Wuyi County showed that the number of deaths from chronic diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,malignant tumors and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease accounted for 75.94%of the reported deaths.The reported incidence of the four chronic diseases(diabetes,hypertension,acute coronary events and malignant tumors)have increased significantly.The two chronic diseases have become the main public health problems that seriously endanger the health of the people in Wuyi County.Therefore,The purpose of this study is to understand the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes and behavior risk factors..2 ObjectiveThe main purpose of this research was to study the prevalence of Hypertension,Diabetes and behavior risk factors in Wuyi County.Provide scientific basis for effective prevention and control of hypertension and diabetes and improvement of residents'health.3 MethodsWe use a multi-stage random sampling method,2500 residents aged over 18 years are extracted in five townships.The basic information,the prevalence and consultation,behavior and lifestyle,the awareness rate of the two Chronic disease core messages are obtained through questionnaire investigation,physical measurements were obtained to obtain height,weight,waist circumference,blood pressure,and blood sugar.Epidata 3.1 was used to carry out the questionnaire data.Variance analysis are performed by Excel 2007 and SPSS21.0.This study used descriptive analysis to describe prevalence of the main chronic diseases,social economic characteristics,behavioral risk factors and health care behavior;the method of single factor and Logistic analysis was used to analyze main influencing factors of chronic diseases.4 ResultsThe results of this survey showed that the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes in residents aged 18 and over in Wuyi County was 34.19%and 6.81%,and the prevalence of the two major chronic diseases increased gradually with age.The highest prevalence is in the 60 years-old and above group.The rate of obesity and central obesity are 6.2%and 41.78%respectively.The male central obesity rate is lower than that of female.The smoking rate(21.5%)and alcohol consumption rate(20.7%),The male rate was much higher than that of female.The survey group was the highest in 45-59 years old group.Dietary behaviour analysis showed that the proportion of meat and poultry eating(? 5 times per week)is highest(34.4%).followed by fruit(22.8%).And the proportion of eating eggs,soy products,dairy products,fish and shrimp was 14.6%,8.2%,7.3%,and 3.5%,respectively.The proportion of eating nuts(? 5 times per week)is lowest(2.0%).The risk factors of hypertension are female,Divorced or widowed,overweight,central obesity,fat.The risk factors of diabetes are heavy smoking,Passive smoking,overweight,central obesity and obesity.
