PurposeThe purpose of this study is to study the effect of accommodation on mild myopia in children wiht acupuncture.At the same time,Optic coherence tomography is used to examine the changes of retinal thickness in the macular.Objective evaluation the influence on macular retinal thickness of the treatment.Explore the possible mechanism of acupuncture treatment of children with mild true myopia to improve naked eyesight,provide a basis for clinical treatment of children with low myopia and provide relevant evidence for clinical research.MethodA total of 45 children(90 eyes)with true mild myopia who were admitted to the ophthalmology clinic of our hospital from February 2017 to May 2018 were enrolled in the study.The patients were divided into treatment group and control group according to the order of treatment on the principle of semi-randomization.The same senior doctor is responsible for health education on myopia(Appendix 2)and subsequent treatment.There were 24 eyes(11 males and 13 females)in the treatment group with a total of 48 eyes,average age(9.875±1.623)years.A total of 42 eyes(10 males and 11 females)in the control group,average age(10.333±1.879)years.The treatment group was treated with acupuncture at an ophthalmology clinic in our hospital twice a week,3 days apart.During this period,the glasses were equipped with frame glasses(corrected visual acuity of 1.0),except for other treatments for myopia.The control group was only treated with spectacles(corrected visual acuity of 1.0),and 12 weeks was the observation period.The two groups of patients were measured for naked eyesight,diopter(expressed spherical equivalent,Spherical equivalent,SE),amplitude of accommodation?positive relative accommodation?negative relative accommodation?accommodative facility and retinal thickness in the macular before and after treatment.The data is processed by SPSS17.0 software,the test level is taken as two sides a=0.05,the experimental results are analyzed,and the conclusion is drawn.Resu t1.Baseline comparison:treatment group of naked eyesight(0.562±0.146),Spherical equivalent(-1.697 ± 0.647)D and control groupnaked eyesight(0.531 ±0.148),Spherical equivalent(-1.869±0.646)D and gender of the two groups in the treatment group General data such as composition,age,visual acuity,and diopter were not statistically different before treatment(P>0.05).2.Naked eyesight comparison:After 12 weeks of acupuncture treatment,the naked eyesight of the treatment group was significantly improved.The comparison between the two groups showed that the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between the control group and the control group(P>0.05).The difference in naked eyesight between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).There was a significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.01).3.Comparison of diopter:There was no significant difference in the diopter between the two groups after treatment,the comparison between the groups before and after treatment,and the difference between the groups before and after treatment.The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Comparison of amplitude of accommodation:After 12 weeks of acupuncture treatment,the amplitude of accommodation of the treatment group was significantly improved.The adjustment range of the two groups of patients after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the comparison and group before and after treatment in the group.The difference between the differences showed statistical significance(P<0.05).5.Comparison of positive and negative relative accommodation:After acupuncture treatment in the treatment group,the positive relative accommodation was significantly improved,while the negative relative accommodation was not significantly improved.There was no significant change in the positive and negative relative accommodation before and after the control group.Comparing the positive relative accommodationi on the two groups after treatment,between the groups before and after treatment and the difference between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).Negative relative accommodation was no significant difference in the difference between the two groups(P>0.05).6.Comparison of accommodative facility:There was no significant difference between the two groups in the sensitivity group after treatment,the comparison between the two groups,and the difference between the two groups(P>0.05).7.Comparison of retinal thickness in the macular:Thickness of the macular center,average thickness and thickness of the 9 areas(A,B1,B2,B3,B4,C1,C2,C3,C4),before and after treatment,comparison between groups,before and after There was no significant difference between the internal comparison and the difference between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThis study showed that the naked eyesight was significantly improved on treatment group for 12 weeks acupuncture,and the amplitude of accommodation and positive relative accommodation were improved.There was no significant change in diopter,negative relative accommodation,accommodative facility,and retinal thickness in the macular.It is suggested that acupuncture treatment can improve the regulation ability by stimulating acupuncture points,which may be the mechanism of acupuncture treatment.Acupuncture can be used as a means of treating children with mild true myopia for the benefit of the majority of patients.However,whether it can effectively control the development of myopia is still unclear,and further research is needed for larger samples and longer courses of treatment.
