Objective: To study the characteristics of ONH and macular by OCT in high myopia.To evaluate the topographic profile peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)thickness and macular retinal thickness in high myopia patients,and their correlation with age and diopter is discussed in this paper.Methods: 96 patients in ophthalmology clinic were included in this study.94 eyes of 52 patients in group of high myopia,the average age of the subjects was 34.78(SD4.12)years old with a range of 18 to 52 years old,of 28 patients were man and 24 were women,the average spherical equivalent(SE)was-8.74(SD2.56D)D with a range of-3.0D to 16.0D.78 eyes of 44 patients in group of the normal eye,the averae age of the subjects was 32.41(SD4.28)years old with a range of 16 to 55 years old,of 23 patients were man and 21 were women,the average spherical equivalent(SE)was-0.37(SD0.14D)D with a range of-0.5D to +0.5D.All subiects underwent ophthalmic examination and the imaging with the Heidelberg Spectralis OCT.Results:1.96 eyes of high myopia were examined with Heidelberg Spectralis OCT,OCT image was nomal in 4 eyes,temporal crescent in 90 eyes,retinal schisis in 4 eyes,lamellar macular hole in 2 eyes,epiretinal memberane in 2 eyes,macular choroidal nevovascularization in 2 eyes and macular hemorrhage in 2 eyes.2.The RNFL thickness were measured by the Heidelberg Spectralis OCT of global were 95.77(SD13.52um)um and 108.01(SD8.59um)um,the superior quadrant were 108.11(SD25.48um)um and 133.45(SD25.57um)um,the inferior quadrant were 120.15(SD18.31um)um and 145.87(SD 11.73um)um,the nasal quadrant were 55.64(SD16.45um)um and 71.59(SD19.49um)um,the temporal quadrant were 98.77(SD25.79um)um and 81.04(SD15.01um)um,respectively.The correlation codfficient between the RNFL thickness of the global,the inferior,the nasal,the tenporal and the diopter were r=-0.438(P<0.01),r=-0.503(P<0.05),r=-0.429(P<0.01),r=0.308(P < 0.05),respectively.The correlation codfficient between the RNFL thickness of the global,the inferior,the nasal,the temporal and the age were r=-0.228(P<0.05),r=-0.241(P<0.05),r=-0.329(P<0.01),r=-0.205(P<0.05),respectively.2.The average macular retinal tickness were measured by Heidelberg Spectralis OCT of the inner area 262.4(SD16.25um)um and 268(SD14.89um)um,the outer area were 249.7(SD17.13um)um and 253.6(SD18.23um)um,respectively,was significantly different.The correlation codfficient between the macular retinal thickness of the inner area,the outer area and the diopter were r=-0.168(P<0.05),r=-0.427(P<0.01)respectively.The correlation codfficient between the macular retinal thickness of the inner area,the outer area and the age were r=-0.028(P=0.77),r=-0.057(P<0.61)respectively.Conclusion: 1.Average the RNFL thickness of the group of high myopia is thinner sinificantly to the group of of normal eye;The topographic profile of peripapillary RNFL thickness was the superior quadrant>the nasal quadrant>the inferior quadrant>the temporal quadrant in high myopia group;the average RNFL thickness,the RNFL thickness of the nasal quadrant,the superior quadrant decreased whth the diopter,while the RNFL thickness of the temporal quadrant was increased;the RNFL thickness decreased whth the age.2.The macula retinal thickness of the group of high myopia is thinner to the group of of normal eye;The topographic profile of peripapillary macula retinal thickness in the inner area was the superior quadrant>the nasal quadrant>the inferior quadrant>the temporal quadrant in high myopia group,while in the outer area was the nasal quadrant >the superior quadrant>the inferior quadrant>the temporal quadrant.The retinal thickness decreased whth the diopter,the inner area was more obvious outer area thicker.No correlation between the macula retinal thickness and the age.
