Changes And Analysis Of Disease Spectrum Of Pediatric Hospitalized Children In Qilu Hospital Of Shandong University From 2013 To 2017

ObjectiveBy analyzing the disease spectrum of children hospitalized in the Department of Pediatrics,Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from 2013 to 2017,and understanding the constitution and trends of childhood diseases,it was estimated the development of children's health care in the hospital.This provides a reference for the prevention,diagnosis,treatment of children's diseases,and the rational allocation of medical resources.MethodsAccording to the ICD-10 International Classification of Diseases,the first diagnosis of hospitalized children in the Department of Pediatrics,Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January 1,2013 to December 31,2017 was classified,and the disease composition was calculated and observed.Results1.From 2013 to 2017,the number of discharged cases from the Department of Pediatrics showed an overall upward trend.The number of discharged cases in 2013 was the lowest,with 6378 cases,and the number of discharged cases in 2016 was the highest,with 8634 cases.2.There was a difference in sex ratio.There were more males than females in the total number of discharged cases in 5 years,including 23034 males and 16239 females,with a male-female sex ratio of 141.84.The top four diseases of male children were bronchial pneumonia.epilepsy,seizure disease,neonatal pneumonia.and the top four diseases of female children were bronchial pneumonia,epilepsy.seizure disease,and encephalitis.3.In the seasonal distribution,the number of discharged cases in winter and spring was more than that in summer and autumn.with the highest number of cases in winter.accounting for 26.45%;the least in spring,accounting for 24.05%.4.From 2013 to 2017.the number of discharged cases from the Department of Pediatrics changed slowly month by month.The number of discharged cases was the highest in December,reaching 3660 cases,accounting for 9.33%;and the number of discharged cases was the lowest in February,with 2984 cases,accounting for 7.60%.5.In the age distribution,the number of discharged cases was mainly from 0 to 6 years old.and the maximum number of discharged cases was from 1 to 3 years old with 8371 cases,accounting for 21.31%.6.In regional distribution,the discharged cases were mainly from Central Shandong.of which Jinan was the most,accounting for 47.25%.,followed by Dezhou,accounting for 12.39%.The top five cities were Jinan,Dezhou,Heze,Liaocheng and Binzhou.7.In the past five years,respiratory diseases ranked first,accounting for 28.24%.followed by neurological diseases,accounting for 18.21%.and diseases originating from perinatal period ranked third,accounting for 15.01%.all of which showed an increasing trend year by year.8.Among the 39,273 discharged cases,the top 10 diseases were bronchopneumonia.epilepsy.,paroxysmal disease,neonatal pneumonia,encephalitis,acute asthmatic bronchitis,anaphylactoid purpura,febrile seizures,neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and preterm infant.9.Among 39273 discharged cases,bronchopneumonia ranked first,with 4208 cases,accounting for 10.71%.followed by epilepsy(6.68%).third was paroxysmal disease(6.18%).the fourth was neonatal pneumonia(4.73%).and the fifth was encephalitis(4.27%).10.In the past five years,the average hospital stay was 7.88 days,and the average number of hospital stays increased year by year.Conclusion1.The discharged cases were generally on the rise;2.There was a difference in sex ratio.There were more males than females in the total number of discharged cases in 5 years;3.In the seasonal distribution,the number of discharged cases in winter and spring was more than that in summer and autumn,with the largest number of cases in winter;4.The number of discharged cases changed slowly month by month;5.In the age distribution,the number of discharged cases was mainly from 0 to 6 years old,and the maximum number was from 1 to 3 years old;6.In regional distribution,the discharged cases were mainly from Central Shandong,of which Jinan was the most;7.Respiratory diseases,especially bronchial pneumonia,was the main diseases of the Department of Pediatrics,Qilu Hospital of Shandong University;8.The disease originating from perinatal period,especially neonatal pneumonia,the number of discharged cases increased year by year,accounting for 4.73%;9.The average number of hospital stays increased year by year.
