A Clinical Research On Bushen Huatan Kaiyu Recipe Of Depression In Parkinson's Disease

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Huatan Kaiyu Recipe combined with western medicine on the treatment of Depression in Parkinson's Disease(DPD)with disorder due to deficiency of kidney-yin and stagnation of phlegm-qi.Methods: From January 1st 2017 to November 30 st 2018,A total of 90 patients of DPD with kidney-yin deficiency and phlegm-qi stagnation diagnosed in the encephalopathy department and geriatrics department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,with 45 patients in each group.The control group was treated with dopazide tablets combined with citalopram tablets.The treatment group was treated with Bushen Huatan Kaiyu Recipe on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The clinical effects of TCM,the scores of TCM syndromes quantification table,24 Items of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Partial Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS I~III),the Levels of Parkinson's Disease Life Quality Questionnaire-39(PDQ-39),Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS),and the levels of serum Homocysteine(Hcy),serum Superoxide Dismutase(SOD)and cortisol in two groups,were compared before treatment and 2,4,8 weeks after treatment.The research data were processed by SPSS 19.0 statistical software.Results:(1)Comparison of the TCM clinical efficacy between the two groups:The clinical efficacy of TCM in the treatment group(90.70%)was significantly improved compared with that in the control group(73.81%).(2)Comparison of the TCM syndromes quantification table score between the two groups:after treatment,the TCM syndromes quantification table scores of patients in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,but the decrease degree in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05);(3)Comparison of the 24 items scores of HAMD and SDS between the two groups:after treatment,the 24 items scores of HAMD and SDS in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and compared with the control group at the same time,the decrease of the treatment group was more significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).(4)Comparison of the UPDRS I~ III score between the two groups:after treatment,the UPDRS I~ III score in the two groups was significantly improved compared with that before treatment,and the improvement in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).(5)Comparison of the PDQ-39 score between the two groups: after treatment,the PDQ-39 scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the improvement of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).(6)Comparison of serum Hcy,serum SOD and cortisol levels between the two groups: after treatment,the levels of serum Hcy,serum SOD and cortisol in the two groups were improved,and the changes of serum Hcy,serum SOD and cortisol in the treatment group were more significant than those in the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).(7)Comparison of TESS scores between the two groups: after treatment,the TESS score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion: Bushen Huatan Kaiyu Recipe combined with western medicine has a good clinical effect on DPD with kidney-yin deficiency and phlegm-qi stagnation,which can significantly improve the life quality of patients,reduce the serum Hcy and cortisol levels,and increase the serum SOD level.
