Clinical Study Of Tongfu Mixture In Treating Early Constipation Of Senile Thoracolumbar Fracture

Purposes:In this experiment,Tongfu mixture was chosen to treat early constipation of senile thoracolumbar fracture.Lactulose Oral Solution was used as a contrast.To objectively evaluate and compare the difference of clinical efficacy between the two groups,so as to promote the clinical application and promotion of Tongfu Mixture.Methods:Selecting seventy-two elderly patients with early constipation of thoracolumbar fracture who were hospitalized in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Kunming Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine)from July 2018 to January 2019 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria,divided them into two groups,36 cases in treatment group and control group respectively.The treatment group is treated by taking Tongfu mixture orally,while the control group is treated by taking Lactulose Oral Solution orally.Both groups is treated for 2 days.In the course of the study,2 cases in the treatment group took medicine irregularly,and 1 case in the control group took other drugs.69 cases were finally completed,34 cases in the treatment group,35 cases in the control group.Recording all patients' time from taking medicine to first defecation(h),and the back and waist VAS score,constipation symptom and sign score.The relevant data were analyzed by statistics.Results:(1)In terms of defecation efficiency,the average time needed for the treatment group and the control group from the first medication to the first defecation was 3.2± 1.9 h and 4.5±2.0h,respectively.The first defecation in the treatment group was significantly earlier than that in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.01).(2)In the treatment of constipation,after treatment.But through the comparison of eachsymptom and sign after treatment,The two groups' degree of difficulty in defecation,defecation time,abdominal distension and abdominal pain,stool traits,intestinal sound,this five index have difference(P<0.05),and the treatment group is better than the control group,There was no significant difference in the feeling of incomplete defecation(P >0.05).The effective rate of treatment group and control group was 97.06% and 88.57%,respectively,the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.01).(3)There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05)in relieving low back pain.After treatment,both groups had relief of low back pain,and the relief effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion:Tongfu Mixture in the treatment of early constipation of senile thoracolumbar fracture,It is based on one of the treatment principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine : "treat the symptoms of acute" to treatment.The effect of this study is definite.It makes defecation quickly,It has more advantages in improving the difficulty of defecation,defecation time,stool traits,abdominal distensionand pain and bowel sounds,It can relieve the pain of injured lumbar spine and back.And no adverse reactions,It is worthy of further popularization and application in clinic.
