Clinical Study Of Electro-Acupuncture Combined With Ear Pressure In The Treatment Of Obesity Due To Gastrointestinal Hyperthermia

Nowadays,Obesity,the natural predator of human beings,has become one of the hot-spot issues in the circle of global medicine.Purposes:Under the guidance of Traditional Chinese Medicine,detailed discussions and researches are made on the obesity patients due to excessive heat in the stomach and intestine,through acupuncture coupled with electroacupuncture and ear-point pressure.Methods:Sixty outpatients,selected in line with the above mentioned standards,are randomly divided into experimental group including thirty patients(odd numbers)namely group of electroacupuncture plus ear-point pressure;and control group with the rest thirty patients(even numbers)namely acupuncture group,in the order of their visiting.In-depth comparisons and observations will be conducted on the patients'weight,BMI,BFP,waist,hip,thigh,calf girth and arm girth.Results:(1)Comparative differences of all indicators after treating with two measures show the statistic significance,P<0.05,it is worthy to mention that indicators before treating is much higher than that after treating.(2)Comparisons on the influences of life habit on the curative effects preceding treating all show the statistic significance,P<0.05.(3)Comparative differences on the curative effects of two groups after treating show no statistic significance,P>0.05.Experimental group(electroacupuncture plus ear-point pressure)has eighteen available patients,with effective rate of 60%;while control group(acupuncture)has sixteen available patients,with effective rate of 53.3%.Conclusion:All above data expounds that the curative effects of electroacupuncture plus ear-point pressure are pretty better than that of acupuncture for the obesity due to excessive heat in the stomach and intestine.
