Objective: To evaluate the effect of cognitive behavior intervention on knowledge, behavior and quality of life of patients with chronic prostatitis, and to provide basis for making scientific nursing decisions of patients with chronic prostatitis. Methods : 92 patients with chronic prostatitis who were admitted from October 2016 to October 2018 were divided into experimental group(46 cases)and control group(46 cases). The control group was given routine nursing intervention, while the experimental group was given cognitive behavioral intervention on the basis of routine nursing. The symptoms index scores(quality of life, dysuria and pain or discomfort),anxiety and depression scores, maximum urinary flow rate, maximum urethral pressure and quality of life test scores(environment, dysuria and pain or discomfort)were compared between the two groups.Social environment, psychology and physiology, erectile function score and medication compliance.Results:(1)General data: in the course of the study,1 case was excluded,2 case s were lost,43 cases were finally lost, and 46 cases were in the control group.T here was no significant difference in the baseline data between the two groups(P > 0.05).(2)General Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale score:There was significant difference between the two groups(anxiety score:6.37±1.43 in the experimental group,8.63±1.66 in the control group,P<0.05;Depression score:6.28 ±1.51 in the experimental group,8.74±1.73 in the control group,P<0.05);There was statistical significance before and after the intervention in the experimental group(P<0.05);There was statistical significance before and after the intervention in the control group(P<0.05).(3)Medication compliance:There was significant difference in drug compliance between the two groups(experimental group:21.28±3.09,control group: 16.54±3.22,P< 0.05).(4)Symptom index score of chronic prostatitis:There were significant differences in quality of life between the two groups(quality of life: experimental group 5.05±1.34,control group 7.41±1.77,P<0.05;urination abnormality:experimentalgroup2.63±0.48,controlgroup 4.52±1.16),P<0.05;pain or discomfort:experimental group 3.98±0.85,control group 7.93±1.07,P<0.05).(5)Erectile function score:There was significant difference between the two groups(experimental group:21.28±3.09,control group:16.54±3.22,P<0.05).(6)Maximum urinary flow rate and maximum urethral pressure:There was significant difference between the two groups(maximal urinary flow rate:20.41±5.88 in the experimental group and 17.56±5.34 in the control group,P<0.05;Maximum urethral pressure:73.88±15.36 in the experimental group and 86.43±14.84 in the control group,P<0.05).(7)Quality of life score.:There were significant differences between the two groups(environmental field:experimental group 75.82±12.76,control group 64.25±12.81,P<0.05;social field:experimental group 76.52±14.34,control group 66.41±14.38,P<0.05;psychological field:experimentalgroup 76.11±13.63,control group 66.63±13.32,P<0.05;physiological field:experimental group 77.94±14.37,control group67.85±14.91,P<0.05).conclusion:Cognitive behavior intervention can alleviate the anxiety and depre ssion of patients with chronic prostatitis, improve drug compliance, alleviate its clinical symptoms(prostatitis symptoms and erectile function),and finally imp rove the quality of life.
