Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate and study the characteristics and risk factors of peripheral vertigo in Yanbian area by collecting previous cases of patients with vertigo disease for 1 year,so as to provide references for the prevention and treatment of vertigo disease in Yanbian area. Methods Collecting 556 patients diagnosed with vertigo in the Yanbian second people's hospital from November 2017 to November 2018 and analyzing retrospectively them. Results the average age of vertigo patients was 60.2±12.3.The peak age group is mainly between 50 and 69 years old(accounting for 52.0%).Among the patients with vertigo,26.1%were male and 73.9%were female, and the ratio of male to female was 1:2.8.The incidence rate of female patients was higher than that of male patients. The ethnic distribution of vertigo patients was 33.5%in Korean,62.0%in han and 4.5%in other ethnic groups.According to etiology analysis, peripheral vertigo accounted for 75.0%,among which BPPV accounted for 29%,middle ear related diseases accounted for 21.8%,MD accounted for 11.2%,vestibular neuritis accounted for 4.0%,sudden deafness with vertigo accounted for 9.0%,and non-vestibular vertigo accounted for 25.0%.Univariate correlation analysis was performed on peripheral vertigo.peripheral vertigo was correlated with Gender, age, history of head trauma, history of ear diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, migraine, dystropidemia, depression, anxiety, history of smoking and drinking(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis of risk factors in patients with peripheral vertigo showed that gender,age(3.514,1.431?8.725),head trauma(2.446,1.502?6.451),ear diseases(1.712,1.110?2.611),hypertension(1.019,1.002?1.034),diabetes(1.017,1.007?1.055),dysepidemia(1.029,1.008?1.141),and smoking(1.028).Anxiety(2.102,1.513?2.874)were risk factors for peripheral vertigo. Conclusion 1.The age of patients with vertigo increases with age,and the age peak of the onset of peripheral vertigo is between 50 and 69 years old.The incidence of vertigo in females is higher than in males(male:female=1:2.8).2.Patients with vertigo in yanbian area were mainly the han nationality and the Korean nationality, accounting for 95.5%of the total data. The number of the han nationality cases is much higher than that ofthe Korean nationality cases.3.In patients with vertigo, peripheral vertigo accounts for 75.0%at most, among which BPPV is the first, middle ear related diseases are the second, and MD is higher than sudden deafness with vertigo and vestibular neuritis.4.The study found that peripheral vertigo in the process of independent risk factors including gender, age, head trauma history, history of otology diseases, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, anxiety, smoking history. And its pathogenesis risk factors are gender, age, head trauma history, history of otology diseases, hypertension, diabetes, migraine, dyslipidemia, depression, anxiety, history of smoking and drinking.
