Correlation Between Syndrome Elements In Acute Phase Of Ischemic Stroke And NIHSS Score

Objective: To explore the correlation between syndrome elements in the acute phase of ischemic stroke and NIHSS score.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study method to collect the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,Taiyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and Oriental Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from November 01,2016 to December 31,2018.A total of 360 patients with acute ischemic stroke(name,case number,gender,age),course of disease,past history,history of tobacco and alcohol,symptoms,signs and NIHSS score,and according to the Diagnostic Criteria for Stroke Syndrome(Trial)to score the TCM syndrome elements.Statistical software was used to analyze the correlation between the syndrome elements of the acute phase of ischemic stroke and the NIHSS score.Results: 1.After two independent samples T test,P>0.05,gender,past history,smoking,drinking history were not statistically significant;after analysis of variance,P>0.05,age was not statistically significant.2.After the statistics of syndromes,49 cases of wind syndrome,accounting for 28.80% of all patients;41 cases of fire syndrome,accounting for 24.10% of all patients;93 cases of sputum,accounting for 54.70% of all patients;blood stasis 62 cases,accounting for 36.50% of all patients;31 cases of qi deficiency,accounting for 18.20% of all patients;2 cases of yin deficiency and impotence,accounting for 1.20% of all patients.After binary logistic regression analysis,only the two syndrome elements of fire and yin deficiency had passed the 10% significance test,and the coefficient was positive,indicating that both were positively correlated with NIHSS score.Conclusion: Among the syndrome elements,sputum and blood stasis were the most;the fire,yin deficiency and impotence were positively correlated with the NIHSS score.
