Purpose: To investigate the relationship between cerebral infarction with carotid atherosclerotic plaque formation and TCM syndromes, and to summarize the analysis of plaque type and TCM syndrome distribution in patients with cerebral atherosclerotic plaque after cerebral infarction. The treatment and prevention provide reference and objective basis.Method: The 195 patients with acute cerebral infarction included in the study were prospectively studied for clinical data collection, and according to the “Ischemic Stroke Syndrome Diagnostic Scale” and “National Institute of Health Stroke Scale” when they were admitted to the hospital. The patients were asked to score and diagnose the symptoms of TCM syndromes through the diagnosis and treatment. The experienced neuropathologists led the patients to score the neurological deficits, and completed the carotid ultrasound examination during the hospitalization, according to the results of the head MRI and The history of cerebral infarction was divided into the first episode of acute cerebral infarction and the recurrent attack of cerebral infarction with a history of new cerebral infarction and a history of cerebral infarction and old infarction. An Epidata database was established for statistical analysis.Result: 1.Of the 195 patients enrolled in this study,110 were the first to have an ischemic stroke, and 85 were recurrent. The incidence of males was higher in the first and relapsed men than in the females, and the average age of males was 61.61.±11.38 years old, women's average age of onset is 67.63±11.06 years old, men's age of onset is earlier than women, the incidence of first attack patients is highest in the 50-59 age group, and the incidence of recurrence is highest in the 60-69 age group.2.The distribution frequency of symptoms of acute ischemic stroke from high to low followed by internal wind, dampness, internal fire, blood stasis,qi deficiency and yin deficiency. The first and recurrent episodes of ischemic stroke syndrome were characterized by three evidences and the most common, followed by two evidence-based syndromes.3.Ischemic stroke in the acute phase of carotid atherosclerotic lesions: the left carotid plaque occurs higher than the right side, with the largest number of plaques at the beginning of the internal carotid artery, followed by the common carotid bifurcation, mixed plaques and The incidence of soft plaques was higher, which was 36.07% and 29.86%,respectively.Among them, the incidence of left carotid plaque was higher in the first and re-attack patients than in the right side, and the plaques were located at the beginning of the internal carotid artery. The incidence of plaque in patients with recurrent ischemic stroke(90.59%)was higher than that of patients with first attack(83.64%).4.By the binary classification variables Logigtic regression analysis thinks, the acute phase of ischemic stroke and the presence of carotid plaques formation of no statistical significance(P > 0.05),due to low sample size,so the carotid artery plaque formation and syndrome elements not present correlation;Spearman correlation analysis showed that the correlation between syndrome elements and hypoechoic plaques was not statistically significant. The correlation between Yin deficiency and isechoic plaques was statistically significant,P=0.036(P < 0.05).The correlation analysis between internal fire and hyperechoic plaques showed significant difference,P=0.031(P < 0.05),with statistical significance.Spearman correlation coefficient =0.153,P=0.028(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Cerebral infarction with carotid artery plaque formation and acute phase of ischemic stroke syndromes elements is a process of quantitative change to qualitative change, because the sample size is less,so it can't think carotid artery plaque formation and TCM syndrome elements have correlation;Plaque hypoechoic plaque in nature and Yin deficiency, high echo plaques and inner fire, uneven echo plaques associated with qi deficiency, fire,qi deficiency,Yin deficiency in the formation of different nature in carotid atherosclerosis plaque plays an important role.
