Objective: to investigate the perioperative clinical effect of Duhuo Jisheng decoction combined with Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation in the elderly.Provides meaningful clinical evidence for the treatment of spinal surgery-related diseases with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in the future. Methods: From December 2017 to December 2018,60 patients with single-segment lumbar disc herniation aged more than or equal to 60 years were hospitalized in the Department of Spinal surgery,Ruikang Hospital affiliated to Guangxi University of traditional Chinese Medicine. The patients were randomly divided into observation group(n = 30)and control group(n =30)by SPSS statistical software. The patients in the two groups were treated with accelerated rehabilitation surgery during the perioperative period.the patients in the observation group were treated with Duhuo Jisheng decoction from admission to 4 weeks after operation, while those in the control group were not treated with Duhuo Jisheng decoction.VAS score,JOA score andODI score were recorded and compared between the two groups before operation and 2 weeks and 4 weeks after operation. The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS22.0 software. Results: 1.there was no significant difference in age, sex, preoperative VAS score, preoperative JOA score and preoperative ODI score between the two groups.there was no significant difference between the two groups.2.there was significant difference in VAS score between the two groups at 2 and 4weeks after operation(P < 0.05).The VAS score at each time point after operation in the two groups was lower than that before operation. The VAS scores of the two groups were compared at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after operation(P < 0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups.the VAS scores of the patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group at each time point after operation.3.there was significant difference in JOA score between the two groups at 2 and4 weeks after operation(P < 0.05).The JOA score at each time point after operation in the two groups was higher than that before operation. The JOA scores of the two groups were compared at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after operation(P < 0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups.the JOA scores of the patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group at each time point after operation.4.there was significant difference in ODI score between the two groups at 2 and4 weeks after operation(P < 0.05).The ODI score at each time point afteroperation in the two groups was lower than that before operation. The ODI scores of the two groups were compared at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after operation(P < 0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups.the ODI scores of the patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group at each time point after operation. Conclusion: According to the statistical results of the postoperative scores of the two groups of patients,Duhuo Jisheng decoction combined with accelerated rehabilitation surgery has good curative effect and value in relieving postoperative pain after intervertebral foraminal surgery, improving postoperative curative effect of intervertebral foraminal surgery, and creating favorable conditions for postoperative functional rehabilitation exercise of patients. It is worthy of clinical promotion and in-depth study.
