Objective: To investigate the association of free fatty acid(FFA)levels with patients with mild cognitive impairment in type 2 diabetes. Methods:A total of 153 patients with type 2 diabetes were enrolled.86 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)were included in the control group, and 67 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with mild cognitive impairment(T2DM-MCI)were included.test group. Two groups of FFA,age, age of diabetes, cystatin C,glycated hemoglobin, uric acid, glycated serum protein, albumin, and a mini-mental state examination were measured. Results: The FFA level(0.96±0.22)mmol/L in the T2DM-MCI group was significantly higher than that in the T2 DM group(0.48±0.18)mmol/L.FFA and age(r=0.181,P<0.001),diabetes years(r=0.188,P=0.020),cystatin C(r=0.523,P<0.001),glycosylated hemoglobin(r=0.345,P<0.001)Positive correlation;FFA and uric acid(r =-0.178,P = 0.028),glycated serum protein(r =-0.303,P < 0.001),albumin(r =-0.243,P = 0.002),mini-mental state examination(r =0.181,P <0.001)was negatively correlated.Logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes years(?=0.193,P=0.016),FFA(?=23.000,P<0.001),and cystatin C(?=5.258,P=0.001)were type 2 diabetes with mild cognition.Independent risk factors for dysfunction. Conclusion:Free fatty acid(FFA)is a risk factor for type 2 diabetes with mild cognitive impairment.
