Objective:The clinical observation of chronic cough Baofei Decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease?COPD?in group D,which belongs to lung-spleen qi deficiency type, was carried out to clarify its curative effect and safety, and to provide treatment ideas and evidence-based basis for the treatment of stable COPD patients with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.Methods:70 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the outpatients and inpatient departments of geriatrics department of Yunnan traditional Chinese medicine hospital.the patients were divided into control group and experimental group according to the ratio of 1:1 using random number table. The control group was given conventional treatment with budesonide formoterol powder inhalation, while the experimental group was treated with chronic cough Baofei Decoction on the basis of conventional treatment. The course of treatment was 4 week. After the treatment, the TCM syndrome curative effect, lung function,COPD evaluation test scale?CAT scale?,6-minute walking test and safety index of the two groups of patients were analyzed.Results:1.comparison of curative effect of TCM syndromes:in improving the curative effect of TCM syndromes of patients, the experimental group is significantly better than the control group after treatment?P<0.01?.After treatment,The experimental group was better than the control group?P<0.05?in improving cough, expectoration, wheeZing, sweating, fear of cold, shortness of breath and low voice, fatigue of spirit, lack of appetite, thin stool, and vomiting of saliva?P<0.05?.2.Comparison of lung function:After treatment, the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in improving patients'FEV1 and FEV1/FVC?P<0.01?.3.Comparison of CAT scale score and 6-minute walk test:After treatment, the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in reducing CAT scale score of patients?P<0.01?.The experimental group was significantly better than the control group in increasing the patients'6-minute walking distance?P<0.01?.4.Comparison of safety indicators:there was no difference in the index values between the experimental group and the control group?P>0.05?.Conclusion:Jiuke Baofei Decoction combined with western medicine can obviously improve the symptoms of cough, expectoration, wheeZing, sweating, fear of cold, shortness of breath and low voice, fatigue of spirit, lack of appetite, thin stool, and vomiting of saliva;Improve lung function indexes?FEV1 and FEV1/FVC?;Reduce CAT scale score and increase walking distance for 6 minutes; No impact on safety indicators. The above effect is superior to that of western medicine alone and has certain safety. Therefore,on the basis of routine western medicine treatment, adding Jiuke Baofei Decoction in the treatment of COPD stable stage group D patients with lung-spleen qi deficiency can better improve the symptoms of patients, improve heart and lung function, and enhance exercise endurance.
