Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Double Endobutton Plate-cable System Combined With The Traditional Chinese Medicine In Treating Acute Distal Tibiofibular Syndesmosis Injury

Purpose: The treatment,double Endobutton plate-cable system combined with the traditional Chinese medicine after surgery in acute distal tibiofibular syndesmosis injury,is a very distinctive therapy of TCM and has achieved better curative effect in clinical practice.Through observing and comparing it with the treatment which does not combined with the traditional Chinese medicine,the aim of this study is to analysis the clinical efficacy and to provide better treatment for the therapy in acute distal tibiofibular syndesmosis injury.Methods: Using clinical method,30 patients with acute distal tibiofibular syndesmosis injury,from December 2015 to August 2017 in our orthopedic department of Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of TCM,were included in the clinical study.Observation and follow-up data of all 30 patients were obtained.The treatment group(18 patients)were treated with three dialectical Chinese medicine after surgery,which the controls(12 patients)were not treated with.During the hospitalization,both groups were routinely instructed to exercise their functions and discharged from the clinic regularly.The swelling degree,VAS,active ankle activity and AOFAS score of both groups were compared.Thus,the data were analyzed and their effects were evaluated.Results:During treatment and rehabilitation,All 30 patients were followed up and evaluated systematically.And both have received a satisfactory effect.(1)The swelling degree:at 14 days,30 days there are significant differences,the treatment group was significantly better than the control,the long-term showed no significant difference.(2)VAS:at 14 days and 30 days after operation,there was a significant statistical difference,and the treatment group had better analgesic effect.At 90 days after operation,there was no significant difference between the two groups and analgesic effect was comparable.(3)Active ankle activity:in terms of plantar flexion,the two groups in the 14 days after surgery were statistically significant.In the 30 days,90 days showed a significant difference in the treatment group,the plantar flexion was significantly better than the activity In the control group,in dorsiflexion angle,the two groups showed statistical difference at 30 days and 90 days after operation,and the activity of ankle dorsiflexion in the treatment group was significantly improved.(4)AOFAS score:the excellent and good rate of the control group was 83.3%,the excellent and good rate of the treatment group was 94.4%,with statistical difference.Conclusion: Double Endobutton plate-cable system combined with the traditional Chinese medicine after surgery in acute distal tibiofibular syndesmosis injury has definite curative effect.After the surgery,the recovery of ankle function is much more rapid and better.With significant advantages,it is worthy of further clinical promotion.
