The Study Of Acupoints Selection And Formula Composing Trait For Treating Facial Pain Before Qing Dynasty And Qing Dynasty

Objective: Collecting and sorting the ancient literatures for facial pain treatment of Qing dynasty and before Qing dynasty.Systematically analyzed the regularity of acupoints and formula composing trait which chosen by ancient doctors,providing theoretical support for selecting acupoints in modern acupuncture treatment for facial pain.Methods: This study used Chinese Medical Dictionary as the searching source,combing the computer searching and manual retrieval to collect the related literatures of Qing dynasty and before Qing dynasty,and manual proofreading the literatures.According to the literatures inclusion criteria,standardized the literatures and established the database,statistical analysis was conducted by Microsoft Excel database.Results: There were 30 ancient books included in this study.183 acupuncture prescriptions were recorded with a total frequency of 279 times,including 91 prescriptions acupoints.The most used acupuncture points was LI4.Ancient doctors paid attention to the application of a particular acupoints,especially the five-Shu points and confluent acupoints.Ancient doctors treaded the facial pain with a wide range of acupoints,except the liver channels of foot-JueYin and pericardium channel of hand-JueYin,the other 12 meridians had been included.The included acupoints distributed mainly in the upper limbs,lower limbs,in the second place distributed in the face and the head.Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty recorded a large of acupuncture prescriptions.Since Jin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty,acupuncture prescriptions mainly used single-point prescriptions,and the moxibustion was mainly used for treating facial pain.The moxibustion combined with acupuncture also used in facial pain treatment.Conclusion: The literatures before Qing dynasty and Qing dynasty,the ancient doctors treated the facial pain with fewer and better acupoints,mostly used three Yang channels of foot and hand.They paid attention to far department acupoints and distinguished the selected point.The acupuncture prescriptions compatibility with combination of affected channel,the surface paired with a cavitation method,combination of points of namesake channels,superior-inferior points combination.
