Analysis Of The Cause Of The Blood Discarding Among Non-remunerated Blood Donors During The Period Of 2011-2015 In Fuyang City

Objectives To realize the main cause of the blood discarding among Non-remenerated Blood Donors in Fuyang City,find the way to decrease the blood discarding rate and improve blood usage.Provide methods and suggestions for the sustainable development of Non-remenerated Blood Donors in Fuyang City.Methods Collected the data about the blood discarding during the period of 2011-2015 from Fuyang Blood Information Management System(SHINOW9.0),and analysed all kinds of factors of the blood discarding.Results The data of the blood discarding showed that the rate of the blood discarding was 8.62%.The blood discarding which were caused by non-infectious have a bigger fluctuation,and the blood discarding which were caused by infectious increased first and then decreased.The blood discarding which were caused by non-infectious factors(50799.02 u,59%)were significantly higher than infectious factors(35357.50 u,41%).The discarding factors from high to low were Lipemia(accouted for 4.79% of the total blood),increasing Alanine Aminotransferase(2.06%),HBsAg positive(0.53%),Anti-TPpositive(0.41%),Anti-HCVpositive(0.38%),Insufficient(0.19%),Anti-H IV positive(0.53%),Damaging(0.06%)and Other(0.04%).The main discarding factors were increasing Alanine Aminotransferase(accouted for 2.06% of the total blood)and Lipemia(4.79%).All factors assoicated with the discarding had significant difference were found in the last 5 years.Conclusion The rate of the blood discarding among Non-remenerated Blood Donors in Fuyang City was higher than other cities in China,the blood discarding was caused by increasing Alanine Aminotransferase and Lipemia was serious.Some intervention measures should be taken by the blood bank to reduce the blood discarding rate,such as strengthen consultation and early screening before the blood donation,and building a more scientific Blood Management System.
