Objective:Describe the Fear-of-Disease and it's influencing factors in female patients with breast cancer, explore the correlation between the Fear-of-Disease and quality of life, which provide the basis for effectively reducing the level of Fear-of-Disease in female patients with breast cancer and formulating the intervention measures toimprove their quality of life. Methods:This study is a cross-sectional survey, used the method of convenient sample. From October 2017 to January 2018,We studied 420 female patients with breast cancer in several Hangzhou hospitals. The survey instruments included general information, disease information,Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short-Form(FoP-Q-SF),Quality of life scale(EORTC QLQ-C30)and so on.SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis, containing statistical description, variance analysis,T test,Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis,Pearson correlation analysis.Results:1.The overall score for FoD of female patients with breast cancer in this study was 45.79±4.74.The physiological health dimension was 23.52±2.89,and the social family dimension was 22.26±3.10.The highest score of the top three were F11:1 worry about what will become of my family if something should happen to me(3.34±0.87),F 1:I become anxious if I think my disease may progress(3.31±0.85),and F9:I am afraid of severe medical treatments in the course of my illness(3.25±0.88).2.The ANOVA analysis indicated that differences of FOD of female patients with breast cancer between age, degree of education, occupation, living environment, medical burden, physical inactivity, fever, recurrence or metastasis, the levels of understanding of disease were statistically significant(p<0.05).In a multiple stepwise regression analysis, age, occupation, living environment, physical inactivity were included in the regression equation.3.The mean score of QLQ-C30 in female patients with breast cancer was85.20±6.84.The score of the top three dimensions were shortness of breath(3.21 ±1.01),role function(3.08±0.50),insomnia(3.00±1.03).4.The:FoD of female patients with breast cancer was negatively correlated with the quality of life(r=-0.231,p<0.05),The correlation coefficient between the two dimensions of FoD and each dimension of QOL was between-0.001?-0.381(p<0.05),that is,the higher the degree of FoD,the worse the quality of life.Conclusion:1.The FoD in female patients with breast cancer characterized by F11 1 worry about what will become of my family if something should happen to me,F1 I become anxious if I think my disease may progress, and F9 I am afraid of severe medical treatments in the course of my illness.2.The female patients with breast cancer over 50 years old and above, without occupation or public servants who work under pressure, living in the countryside or towns, more severe degree of physical inactivity will have the higher degree of the FoD.3.The quality of life of female breast cancer patients was most affected on role function, and these patients had more obvious symptoms of breath and insomnia.4.The FOD in female patients with breast cancer was negatively correlated with there quality of life. The higher the degree of FoD,the worse the quality of life.
