| Objective:To compare and analyze the clinical efficacy of high viscosity bone cement and ordinary viscosity bone cement PVP in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF).Methods:A retrospective analysis from August 2015 to May 2017 in our hospital spinal surgery department treated 78 cases of elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, according to the type of bone cement were divided into A group(high viscosity bone cement in treatment of PVP,38 cases)and B group(with normal viscosity bone cement treatment of PVP,40 cases). The general data of two groups including gender, age and bone mineral density were compared.Surgical data included fluoroscopy times, bleeding volume, bone cement dosage and operation time.Three months visual analogue score before and after surgery, postoperative day 1(VAS),Oswestry disability index(ODI),bone cement leakage changes and postoperative vertebral height, kyphosis Cobb angle, including the incidence of venous leakage, intervertebral disc leakage, paravertebral leakage, spinal canal leakage. Results:No statistically significant difference between the groups in general data of the two groups(P > 0.05),including the comparison operation data of fluoroscopy, bone cement and the amount of bleeding and the results showed that high viscosity group operative time was significantly less than the normal group and the group differences in viscosity was statistically significant(P < 0.05),the first day of the two groups of patients after 3 months of follow-up,VAS score and ODI score were significantly improved after operation, but the difference between groups was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).Two groups of patients first days after operation and 3 months after operation, the vertebral height and kyphosis Cobb angle were significantly restored compared with those before operation. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The high viscosity group in vertebral height recovery and kyphosis Cobb angle improvement was significantly better than the ordinary viscosity group. In the incidence of postoperative bone cement leakage, the high viscosity group was lower than the normal viscosity group, and there was a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:PVP in the application of high viscosity bone cement in similar improvement in back pain and dysfunction with the common clinical effect of bone cement viscosity, application of high viscosity bone cement can better restore vertebral height and correct kyphosis, reduce the rate of bone cement leakage, application of high viscosity bone cement can significantly shorten the operation time. Therefore, the clinical application of high viscosity bone cement PVP in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture is more safe and effective than the ordinary viscosity bone cement. |
