Objective:To observe the effect of?-3 fish oil-based lipid emulsion on postoperative nutrition and anti-inflammation in patients with gastric cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 48 patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer treated in the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery of Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University between September 2015and February 2018 was statistically analyzed, including age, gender,BMI,postoperative hospital stay, and white blood cells, total protein, albumin, prealbumin, hepatic function and renal function before surgery and 1 d,3 d and 6 d after surgery. The patients were divided into experimental group?treated with?-3fish oil-based lipid emulsion after surgery?and control group?treated without?-3fish oil-based lipid emulsion after surgery?.Both groups were treated with PN support using equal nitrogen and calories based on height and weight. The control group was treated with medium-/long-chain fatty acids alone, while the experimental group with?-3 fish oil-based lipid emulsion?100 ml/d?in addition to medium-/long-chain fatty acids, which were continuously performed after surgery and observed for 6 days.Paired t-test was conducted using SPSS 22.0 software for the effect of?-3 fish oil-based lipid emulsion on postoperative nutrition and anti-inflammation in patients with gastric cancer.Results:1.Postoperative hospital stay in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group?12.92±2.36 d vs.14.63±2.50 d?,with statistical significance.2.All postoperative total protein, albumin and prealbumin in the experimental group and control group reduced significantly at the 1st d after surgery and increased at the 3rd d after surgery.Postoperative total protein in the 2 groups showed no obvious difference at the 1st,3rd and 6th d after surgery. No apparent differences were detected in albumin or prealbumin between the 2 groups at the 1stt and 3rd d after surgery. At the 6th d after surgery, albumin and prealbumin in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance.3.White blood cells in the experimental group and control group increased significantly at the 1st d after surgery compared with those before surgery, and reduced at the 3rd d after surgery.White blood cells in the experimental group and control group showed no obvious difference at the 1st and 3rd d after surgery. At the6th after surgery, white blood cells in the experimental group were less than those in the control group, with statistical significance.4.Postoperative ALT,AST and Cr in the experimental group and control group increased compared with those before surgery.Preoperative and postoperative ALT,AST and Cr of the 2 groups were almost within the normal range.N o significant statistical differences were found in hepatic or renal function indexes between the two groups. Conclusion:Postoperative application of?-3 fish oil-based lipid emulsion in patients with gastric cancer can inhibit inflammatory response, improve nutritional status, and promote the early recovery after surgery.
