Objective: To observe the overall survival(OS)of patients with adenosquamous carcinoma(ASC)and to explore the risk factors after radical resection in patients with adenosquamous carcinoma of lung. Methods: The clinical data of 102 patients with stage I ~ III lung adenosquamous carcinoma who underwent thoracic surgery at the First Hospital of China Medical University from June 2011 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The prognosis was analyzed from the aspects of population characteristics, biological characteristics, pathological classifications, clinical stages, the number of lymph node resection group and postoperative treatment.Kaplan-Meier method was used to assess the survival rate,Log-rank test was used for univariate analysis, and Cox regression model was used for multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 96 patients were followed up and 6 patients were lost. The follow-up rate was 94.11%(96/102).The three-year survival rate of 96 ASC patients was 57.14%.The 5-year survival rate was 20.83%.The median survival time was 38 months.Univariate analysis showed that invasion of pleura, tumor differentiation, tumor component classifications,TNM staging,T staging,N staging and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy were the important factors affecting the prognosis of ASC.Multivariate analysis showed that pleural invasion, tumor classification,TNM staging,T staging,N staging and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy were independent prognostic factors in patients with ASC.Conclusion:(1)The population characteristics of the patients with lung adenosquamous carcinoma have nothing to do with the prognosis.(2)The pleural invasion is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of patients with lung adenosquamous carcinoma.(3)In the component classification of lung adenosquamous carcinoma, the prognosis of adenocarcinoma was the last, the squamous cell carcinoma was the second, and that of adenosquamous carcinoma was the worst.(4)The higher the TNM staging,T staging and N staging, the poorer the prognosis.(5)The postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can improve the prognosis of patients with lung adenosquamous carcinoma.
