Objective Adenosquamous carcinoma(ASC)is a rare subtype of lung cancer,it is mixed glandular and squamous cell carcinoma with a more aggressive behavior and poor prognosis than the other histologic subtypes. The aim of the study was to explore the clinic pathological characteristics Therapeutic effect and prognostic factors of ASC.Methods A total of 190 patients were enrolled. We investigated clinical pathological features and prognostic factors retrospectively. Results The overall 190 ASC patients.117 patients died. The median survival time was 33 months. The 1-year survival rate was 84.5%,and the 3-year survival rate was 43.8%.The median progression-free survival time was 12 months.Univariate analysis:(1)Basic information about the patient in this study: gender, age, smoking history, clinical features: T stage,N stage,M stage, clinical stage(I-IV stage),differentiation degree, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, target A single factor analysis of the effects of treatment, comprehensive treatment, and surgical methods on survival was performed.(2)Results showed tumor N staging,M staging, clinical staging, differentiation, surgery vs non-surgery,single-treatment vs comprehensive treatment, complete resection vs incomplete resection, tumor marker CA125,tumor marker NSE,pathologic subtypes, and gene mutations had statistically significant effects on patient outcomes.(3)The survival rate of N0 and N2 patients was better than that of N3 patients(P=0.01,0.05).Patients with distant metastases had better prognosis than patients with distant distant metastases(P=0.002).The survival of stage II and III ASC patients was significantly longer than that of stage IV patients(P=0.017,0.014).The survival rate in the surgical group was significantly higher than that in the non-surgical group(P=0.025).The survival rate in the complete resection group was significantly longer than that in the incomplete resection group(P=0.001).The survival rate in the comprehensive treatment group was significantly higher than that in the single treatment group(P=0.000).The survival rate of TKI-targeted therapy was higher than that of the untreated group(P=0.050).The survival rate of the gene mutation group was higher than that of the gene mutation group(P=0.000).The survival rate of the CA125 normal group was higher than that of the CA125 elevated group(P=0.000).The survival rate of NSE normal group was higher than that of NSE elevated group(P=0.000).The survival rate of glandular squamous cells was higher than that of glands and squamous(P=0.000).COX analysis revealed that M stage, clinical stage, single VS comprehensive treatment, mutations, targeted therapy,CA125,NSE,complete resection vs incomplete resection, these 8 types of features affect the survival rate of lung adenosquamous carcinoma.Conclusion(1)Patients with early-stage lung adenosquamous carcinoma undergo comprehensive treatment based on surgery, and patients with gene mutations treated with small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors treatment may prolong patients' overall survival.(2)Increased levels of CA125 and NSE are bad predictors and prognostic indicators.
