Objective: Hyponatremia is one of the common electrolyte disorders in cancer patients.Especially in patients with small cell lung cancer, the incidence of hyponatremia is the highest.Recent studies have assessed the impact of hyponatremia on the prognosis of patients with lung cancer and found that early detection and proper management of hyponatremia can improve the prognosis of patients.Unfortunately, data from most lung cancer studies cannot be combined and meta-analysed because most studies do not report survival risk ratios(HR).However, when these data were considered together, they supported the assumption that hyponatremia was a negative prognostic factor in cancer patients. In order to evaluate accurately whether hyponatremia of small cell lung cancer is associated with survival time, and to evaluate the evidence systematically and objectively by using meta analysis system, the correlation between hyponatremia and prognosis in patients with small cell lung cancer is determined. Methods: Use the computer to retrieve Pumbmed,Embase,China Journ al Full-text Database,Chinese VIP journals database,Wanfang and other data bases. The study was included in the study of the relationship between hypon atremia and prognosis in patients with SCLC.The results were included in 8 a rticles.Use Stata12.0 Software for analysis. There is heterogeneity in the literature, and the random effect model is applied; If there is no heterogeneity, the fixed effect model is applied. The outcome indicators are: One-year survival rate,three-year survival rate,five-year survival rate, risk ratio and95%CI.Significant clinical heterogeneity was treated by subgroup analysis or sensitivity analysis.Funnel plot was used to detect publication bias. The test level of meta analysis was set as ? = 0.05.Results:1.The analysis results of 1-year survival rate showed that the survival rate of the hyponatremia group was lower than that of the normal group(OR=6.65,95% CI:3.07~14.41,z=4.80,P=0.000);2.The analysis results of 3-year survival rate showed that the survival rate of the hyponatremia group was lower than that of the normal group(OR=4.96,95% CI:1.63~15.13,z=2.82,P=0.005);3.The analysis results of 5-year survival rate showed no significant difference between the low sodium group and the normal group(OR=15.75,95%CI: 0.75~ 330.62,z=1.77,P=0.076);4.The study confirmed hyponatremia is an independent risk factor for the death of patients with SCLC,which is associated with liver metastasis, bone metastasis and pleural metastasis.Conclusion:1.Hyponatremia can be one of the prognostic indicators of small-cell lung cancer.2.Liver metastasis, bone metastasis and pleural metastasis are more likely to occur in small cell lung cancer patients with hyponatremia.
