In recent years, the incidence and mortality rate of lung cancer have risen on a global scale, which has seriously endangered the lives of the general public. With the advancement of medical imaging technology, the detection rate of early-stage lung cancer patients is getting persistently higher, surgical intervention has always been the most effective and direct method for treating early-stage lung cancer, the traditional treatment of past non-small cell lung cancer was lobectomy combined with lymph node dissection, sublobar resection(including segmentectomy and wedge resection)was previously only a compromised procedure for patients who could not tolerate lobectomy. In recent years, more and more clinical studies have shown that the long-term survival rate and recurrence rate of patients with early non-small cell lung cancer undergoing sublobar resection and lobectomy are similar. With the advancement of thoracoscopic techniques, sublobar resection has become more and more clinically advanced in the treatment of early non-small cell lung cancer, pulmonary lobectomy as the old concept of traditional earlystage lung cancer surgery is challenged.
