Objective to investigate and explore the predominate sensitizing drugs, clinical manifestation and therapy for severe drug eruption. Methods The clinical data of the patients with severe drug eruptions at the Department of Dermatology of Union Hospital between April,2015 to September,2017 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The sensitizing drugs in 30 patients were determined.11 cases(36.7%)were induced by Allopurinol,4 cases(13.3%)were induced by Amoxicillin,4 cases(13.3%)were induced by Chinese patent medicine,3 cases(10.0%)were induced by NSAIDs,2causes(6.7%)were induced by Antiepileptic.Clinically,63.33% of the patients had a higher body temperature,70.0% of the patients with elevated white blood cells,66.67%of the patients with elevated CRP level,66.67%of the patients with liver function damage, and 70.0% of patients with hypoalbuminemia.21 patients(70%)turn for the better,6 patients(20%)were healed, and 3 patients interrupted their treatment. Conclusion 1,People from adolescent to middle-aged and seniors can develop the disease. There is no obvious gender-specificity,and the main age of onset is >59 years old.2,The main sensitized drugs are anti-gout drugs,antibiotics,anti-epileptic drugs, and antipyretic analgesics,in which the allopurinol triggers the highest frequency of severe drug eruption as well as induces ED,SJS,DRESS,TEN types in severe drug eruptions.3,Clinical manifestations are usually manifested as erythema blisters, erosions with fever, itching, pain, mucosal injury, elevated white blood cells, impaired liver function, increased CRP,combined with hypoproteinemia.4,Systemic corticosteroids, especially combined with high doses of immunoglobulin can effectively treat severe drug eruption and reduce complications.
