[Background]In recent decades, the prevalence of type 2 diabetes(type 2 diabetes mellitus,T2DM)has gradually increased along with the improvement of living standards and change of dietary culture and lifestyle. At the same time, obesity has become an outbreak of chronic diseases.Tthe prevalence of obesity in patients with type 2 diabetes has reached 24.3%.With the prevalence of obesity and type 2diabetes,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,NAFLD)has become China’s largest chronic liver disease.NAFLD is a clinicopathological syndrome in which diffuse hepatic cell is damaged by alcohol and other definitive liver damage factors.[Objective]To investigate the difference between the incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and the prevalence of NAFLD in patients with obesity or hypertriglyceridemia in patients with T2DM.[Methods]Body mass index(body mass index,BMI),triglyceride(TG)levels, and liver imaging of 587 patients with T2DM in the Department of Endocrinology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from January 2017 to February 2018 were collected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then grouped according to body mass index and triglyceride level.Their were 55 patients with obesity and hypertriglyceridemia in coexist group.Their were 96 patients with obesity without hypertriglyceridemia in OB group. And their were 119 patients with hypertriglyceridemia without obesity in hTG group. The control group had 317normal cases. All the values in this study were statistically analyzed using SPSS v16.0 software. The statistical method isχ~2 test of multi-group dichotomies.[Results]The prevalence of NAFLD was significantly higher in coexist group,OB group and hTG group than in the control group(P<0.001).The prevalence of NAFLD in coexist group was significantly higher than that in OB group(P=0.003).The prevalence of NAFLD in coexist group was significantly higher than that in hTG group(P=0.001).However,the prevalence of NAFLD in OB group and hTG group was not significantly different.[Conclusion]In patients with T2DM,obesity combined with hypertriglyceridemia is more likely to form NAFLD.
