Objective: To investigate the prevalence and related risk factors of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)in patients with hypertension diagnosed for the first time, and to discuss the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes in newly diagnosed hypertension with OSAHS.Methods: In this study,1870 cases of hypertension diagnosed with snoring were found in the physical examination center of Henan Provincial People's Hospital.A questionnaire survey was conducted.Among 180 patients with severe snoring with apnea and ESS score ?9 randomly selected 90 cases for portable sleep monitoring.75 patients with hypertension and OSAHS were diagnosed for the first time. The initial diagnosis of hypertension with OSAHS was calculated. The morbidity rate and statistical analysis of the symptoms and syndromes were summarized, and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes in the first diagnosis of hypertension combined with OSAHS were summarized. Results: The number of valid questionnaires was 1532,and the effective rate was 81.93%.The average age of the surveyed population was 51.64 years old, males were 1068,accounting for 69.71%,females were 464,accounting for 30.28%;31~40 years,41~50 years,The proportion of 51~60 years old hypertensive patients with snoring gradually increased. The proportion of females in the 51~60 years old group(54%)was higher than that of the male group(41.29%);the number of Han people was 1530,accounting for 99.86%,2 Hui people accounting for 0.13%;In the initial diagnosis of hypertension combined with snoring, smoking, drinking and snoring are closely related to the severity;and in the awareness of snoring,66.97% of people believe that snoring is not a disease,33.02% of people believe that snoring is a disease;62.98% of people think that hypertension is needed for treatment,37.2% of patients believe that snoring does not require treatment;indicating that the initial diagnosis of hypertension combined with snoring people's awareness is lower than that of people with hypertension. The initial diagnosis of hypertension with OSAHS was performed in 75 patients. The prevalence of newly diagnosed hypertension combined with OSAHS was 9.79%.The binary logistic regression analysis showed that smoking, drinking, hypertension, family history, pharyngeal stenosis, mandibular retraction, overweight and nasal obstruction were risk factors for the prevalence of newly diagnosed hypertension with OSAHS in this area. The distribution of TCM syndromes of newly diagnosed hypertension combined with OSAHS was mainly phlegm retardation,32 cases of phlegm-inhibition type, accounting for 42.67%,24 cases of qi stagnation and blood stasis, accounting for 32.0%,10 cases of spleen-kidney yang deficiency, accounting for 13.33 %,lung spleen qi deficiency in 5 cases, accounting for 6.67%,4 cases of liver and kidney yin deficiency, accounting for 5.33%.Each syndrome and gender were not statistically significant. Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension diagnosed with OSAHS for the first time was 9.79%.The risk factors affecting the initial diagnosis of hypertension and the prevalence of OSAHS include smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, family history, pharyngeal stenosis, mandibular retraction, overweight and nasal obstruction.
