The Clinical Reserch Of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer After Surgery Treated By Yiqi Yangyin Method

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Yiqi Yangyin method for patients with differentiated thyroid cancer after surgery.Methods: 30 patients with differentiated thyroid cancer after surgery were included,whose traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes meet Qi and Yin deficiency.This is a retrospective control study,all of the patients were given Yiqi Yangyin granules,and they were controlled by themself.400 ml per day taken with water,divided to twice a day,30 minutes after the meals.Record the TCM clinical symptom score,SCL-90 score,the levels of serum Free Triiodothyronine(FT3),Free Thyroxine(FT4),thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH),thyroglobulin(TG)at before treatment and three months after treatment.Results: Through the clinical observation of 30 cases with differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC)after surgery,we found that the age group was mainly 30-45 years old(53.3%)and dominated by women(63.3%).It was more common for the deficiency of Qi and Yin at half a year after differentiated thyroid cancer surgery(60%).The treatment of DTC was significantly curative,and the results showed that the efficiency was 13.4% and the effective rate was 83.3%.After treatment,The scores of TCM symptoms were significantly reduced,with statistical significance(P<0.01).The results indicated that the therapy could be benifit for modifing the symptoms,such as tired,thirsty,et al.However,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05)for impatience and insomnia.Compared with the pre-treatment,the level of FT3 and FT4 were significantly increases and the level of TSH was significantly reduced(P<0.01).Whereas,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05)for the level of TG.Menwhile,Yiqi Yangyin method could significantly improve the quality of patients with DTC after surgery,the results showed that it could reduce the score of SCL-90.Conclusion: First,Yiqi Yangyin method could significantly improve the quality of patients with DTC after surgery,and relieve discomfort.Second,Yiqi Yangyin method is safe for clinical application without side effect.Third,It is not effective to relieve the symdromes of insomnia and unpatience,fail to reduce the risk of recurrence of DTC after surgery.Forth,It may be beneficial to the recovery of laboratory indexes after DTC surgery,but it still needs to be confirmed by further multicenter randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled clinical trials.
