Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Baihu Decoction In Treatment Of The Qi System Of Viral Encephalitis

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Baihu Decoction in treatment of the Qi system of viral encephalitis,and provide abundant standardized clinical data in TCM for the treatment of the Qi system of viral encephalitis.Methods:(1)According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of the research,select 60 patients who were diagnosed as viral encephalitis in Qi system and hospitalized in Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,Henan Infectious Disease Hospital from March 2016 to December 2017.All patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each groups included 30.(2)The control group was given routine western medicine treatment of viral encephalitis,(Antiviral therapy,symptomatic support therapy and so on).The treatment group was added with Baihu Decoction on the basis of routine western medicine treatment.The two groups both were treated for 14 days as a cure.(3)Recorded the TCM syndrome scores,blood count(white blood cell,the ratio of lymphocyte),cerebrospinal fluid(pressure,protein)and the time spend on changeing the main clinical symptoms and signs before and after treatment,To observe the clinical efficacy.Result:(1)The overall curative: the total effective rate of the treatment group was93.3%,the total effective rate of the control group was 86.7%,the results have statistical significance(P < 0.05).(2)The curative effect of TCM syndrome: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.3%,the total effective rate of the control group was 90%,the results have statistical significance(P < 0.05).(3)After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores,blood count(white blood cell,the ratio of lymphocyte),cerebrospinal fluid(pressure,protein)and the time spend on changeing the main clinical symptoms and signs of the two groups were all improved compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05).(4)After treatment,the improve of the treatment group in TCM syndrome scores,blood count(white blood cell,the ratio of lymphocyte)and cerebrospinal fluid(pressure,protein)were all better than the control group(P < 0.05),and the time spend on changeing the main clinical symptoms and signs in the treatment group is less than the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)Baihu Decoction and routine western medicine treatment both can improve the white blood cell and ratio of lymphocyte,cerebrospinal fluid pressure and protein,the TCM syndrome scores in treatment of the Qi system of Viral encephalitis,and the Baihu Decoction group is better than the control group.(2)The total curative effect and the curative effect of TCM syndrome of the Baihu Decoction group were better than the control group.(3)The Baihu Decoction group can improve the main clinical symptoms and signs faster,and has the advantage of shortening the course of disease.
