Purpose:1.To evaluate the efficacy and explore theoretical basis of treating children Tourette syndrome from regulating liver and lungs.2.To evaluate the safety of treating children Tourette syndrome with Chinese medicines which were formed with regulating liver and lungs. Methods:Considering the preliminary efficiency of TCM,72 patients were included as subjects. The formulas“Tiaofeiligan Tang”were formed by the general principle of regulating liver and lungs, and with the treating methods of removing external Feng, extinguishing internal Feng and balancing viscera. The patients take the formulas for 3 months.Different observation time points before and after treatment(observation point of short course of treatment:30±3 days after treatment;Observation point of middle course of treatment:60±3 days of treatment;Observation point of long course of treatment:90±3 days after treatment),the patients were tested YGTSS scores,TCM clinical syndrome scores and safety indicators. The measurement data are expressed by mean standard deviations, and those conforming to normal distribution will be tested by paired t test, while those not conforming to normal distribution will be tested by rank sum test.?~2 test was used for counting data.Data analysis is realized by SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Results:1.Comparedwithbeforetreatment,YGTSSscoresatdifferent observation points were lower than before treatment(p<0.05).The total effective rate of YGTSS scores in the middle course of treatment were higher than short course of treatment(p>0.05).The total effective rate of YGTSS scores in the long course of treatment were higher than short course of treatment(p<0.05).2.Comparedwithbeforetreatment,TCMsyndromescoresatdifferent observation points were lower than before treatment(p<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome scores in the middle course of treatment were higher than short course of treatment(p>0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome scores in the long course of treatment were higher than short course of treatment(p<0.05).3.The abnormal incidence rate of laboratory indicators was 2.98%.Conclusion:1.It was effective to treat children TS from regulating liver and lungs.Effective rates of the YGTSS and TCM syndrome scores were positively related treatment time.2.Chinese medicine had a good safety in treating children TS with liver and lungs inordinated.
