Clinical Evidence Of Huanglao Eliminate Swelling Plaster With Fast Track Recovery Methodology After Total Arthroplasty For Osteoarthritic Knee Treatment

ObjectiveIn Fast track recovery methodology,through the comparative study of HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster in the treatment of swelling and pain after total knee arthroplasty to observe the clinical efficacy,safety and mechanism of HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster in the treatment of swelling and pain after artificial knee replacement,Providing clinical evidence of efficacy for the formulation and drug discovery in the hospital and providing high-level evidence-based medicine for the treatment of swelling pain after orthopedic surgery.Methods90 patients were selected,of which,30 treated with HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster method and 30 treated with Indometacin Cataplasm method(control group)and blank group.All the patients were hospitalized and underwent the same rehabilitation program for the first three days after surgery.Three groups of conventional icing around the mouth after surgery,the treatment group was given HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster wounds around the wound the day after the operation,the control group was given Indometacin Cataplasm applied around the wound,the blank The patients were treated with ice.We evaluated the following endpoints consisting of Surgical skin temperature around,The limbs' degree of swelling,the parameters of pain(VAS),range of motion(ROM),Hospital for special surgery knee score(HSS),the incidence of deep vein thrombosis(DVT),and other wound related complications,on admission day and the first,third,seventh,and 2 weeks post-operative day.ResultsIn test group and control group,surgical skin temperature around and the limbs' degree of swelling the most rapid improvement,while those of function: Hospital for special surgery knee score(HSS)and range of motion(ROM)were normalized as gradual and progressive improvement over the next 2 weeks,but HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster can improve the skin mild swelling more quickly,There was a more obvious effect on the 3rd day after operation,which was statistically significant(P <0.05)compared with the other two groups.In terms of postoperative pain showed that the mean values were significantly greater in test group and control group,but in the postoperative pain recovery period of about 7 days,the test group showed a more stable effect.In terms of postoperative activity,the effects of three groups converged(P> 0.05),and the postoperative 14 days were significantly improved compared with that before operation.In the postoperative HSS functional score,the postoperative limbs were significantly improved,especially after 14 Day,of which test group 7 days after the control group and the blank group better,the incidence of postoperative DVT cases and adverse drug reactions.ConclusionThe results of the study confirm that the application of the HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster in the Fast track recovery methodology in orthopaedics after total knee replacement results in rapid post-surgery recovery.The " Fast track recovery methodology " is based on evidence-based medicine,has the advantages of practical and significant clinical role,and continue to optimize the process,optimize the organization,its fundamental purpose is to early realization of limb function,to reduce the complications and improve patient life quality.Our department combined with the above theory,and through clinical practice,developed a set of " the Fast track recovery methodology ",TKA postoperative limb HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster is used as a "quick recovery program" after the key part of the rehabilitation period.In the present study,we report a rapid improvement in pain,swelling,skin temperature and activity parameters in all three groups,with functional and HSS scores gradually improving within 2 weeks of surgery.The statistical analysis of the skin temperature between test group and the control group showed that the test group has a shorter time and has a stable effect.HuangLao Eliminate swelling plaster in patients with relief of local symptoms of excellent performance,making the entire rehabilitation process more smoothly.
