Objective: To understand the periodontal status of women in this special period of pregnancy and to explore the risk factors and provide evidence for the prevention and research of periodontal disease in this special population.Methods: A random sampling method was used to select pregnant women from prenatal examinations in Maternal and Child Health Care Institutions in Changji City in 2017 to obtain study samples.The basic information of the participants was collected through questionnaires,and bleeding,probing depth,and clinical attachment levels were used for probing.Clinical periodontal index records periodontal status,diagnosis of periodontal disease.Results: Among the 500 pregnant women,the pregnant women were youngest 23 years old,up to 45 years old,and the average age was 30±4.48 years old.During the pregnancy,the number of women brushing time was 275(25%),accounting for 55.0%,and the number of brushing time was 3 minutes 225 cases,(45.0%).320 pregnant women still eat after brushing their teeth,accounting for 64.0%,only 31 cases of pregnant women during pregnancy to check oral health 469 cases without oral examination,accounting for 93.8%.254 cases with oral health(50.8%),24 cases with periodontal disease during pregnancy,accounting for 49.2%.The 95% confidence interval for the prevalence of periodontal disease in pregnant women is 45% to 54%.Among them,184 cases of gingivitis were pregnancies and 62 cases of women with periodontitis during pregnancy.The prevalence rates of periodontal disease in pregnant women were statistically significant at different brushing times,whether they had eaten after brushing,and whether oral inspections were performed before pregnancy.P<0.05.Conclusion: No medical insurance,late pregnancy and eating habits after brushing may be risk factors for periodontal disease in pregnant women Prolonged brushing and pre-pregnancy oral examinations may be protective factors for periodontal disease in pregnant women.The periodontal health of women during pregnancy is poor,and the poor oral hygiene awareness of pregnant women needs to be improved.
