Therapeutic Effect Of Warming The Acupoints Of Shu-Mu By Wheat Moxibustion On Bell’s Facial Paralysis

ObjectiveThis study adopts a randomized controlled approach for clinical microsamples.The clinical efficacy of moxibustion on the acupoints Shu-Mu of the treatment group on the recovery of Bell’s facial palsy was evaluated by comparison with the conventional acupuncture control group.And then investigate whether wheat moxibustion on the acupoints Shu-Mu is better for the treatment of bell facial paralysis in convalescence.MethodBased on the inclusion criteria and voluntary principle,70 patients with facial paralysis were picked as subjects in this clinical observation,who were divided into two groups randomly.The control group was given conventional acupuncture,and the treatment group was combined with moxibustion on the acupoints of zhongwan,tianshu,weishu and dachangshu on the basis of control group.The treatment of two groups were once in two days,a course of treatment 3 times,2 days off between courses.This study took House-Brackman facial nerve function score scale,Sunnybrook score,facial disability index(FDI)scale as the observation index and recorded the two groups of patient,s score before and after 4 sessions respectively.Finally,the statistical software was used to analyze the data to compare the improvement of symptoms and signs of Bell’s facial paralysis between the two treatment methods.ResultsAccording to the statistical analysis before treatment,differences did not exist in sex,age,course,House-Brackman facial nerve function score scale,Sunnybrook score and facial disability index(FDI)scale between the treatment group and the control group.After treatment,There was different between before and after treatment of both groups on House-Brackman facial nerve function score scale,Sunnybrook score,facial disability index(FDI)scale,and it can be considered that the two methods have a certain therapeutic effect and promoting effect on the treatment of Bell’s recovery period;Meanwhile,to compare the observation index after treating,it has a better effect on wheat moxibustion Shu-Mu points on the recovery of Bell facial paralysis treatment related to the control group.furthermore,in the omparison of efficacy distribution,the rank sum test(Z=-2.15,P=0.031<0.05)indicated that the two groups had significant differences.The total effective rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were 91.43% and 80.0%,which were much higher than 80% and 57.14% of the control group,which conclused the curative effect of wheat moxibustion on convalescent Bell’s facial paralysis is better than that of conventional acupuncture therapy.ConclusionAcupuncture treatment and wheat moxibustion on Shu-Mu Points of Bell’s palsy recovery have therapeutic effects,but the latter better able to improve the treatment of facial symptoms and signs of patients,improve facial nerve function,reduce stress,and improve patient The quality of life is an effective treatment of Bell’s paralysis.
