Clinical Research On Treatments Of Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss By Fameng Acupuncture Method

ObjectiveTo research the clinical efficacy of Fameng Acupuncture Method in the treatment of Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss and find the difference between from the Traditional Acupuncture Method.To observe the improvement of different types of syndrome in patients with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss by Fameng Acupuncture Method,such as hearing loss,tinnitus,ear tightness,vertigo.MethodsTotally 90 patients with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss were randomly divided into experiment group and control group,with 45 patients in each group.The experiment group was acupunctured Tinggong(SL 19),Yifeng(SJ17),Zhongzhu(SJ 3),Waiguan(SJ 5),Zulinqi(GB 41),Vertigo and Auditory Area and Hegu(LI 4),Taixi(KI 3),Taichong(LR 3),Xuehai(SP 10),Zusanli(ST 36)which were choosed by TCM differentiation.The Tinggong(SI19)was acupunctured by Fameng Acupuncture Method,others were acupunctured by neutral supplementation and draining method.The control group was acupunctured Tinggong(SL 19),Yifeng(SJ17),Zhongzhu(SJ 3),Waiguan(SJ 5),Zulinqi(GB 41),Vertigo and Auditory Area and Hegu(LI 4),Taixi(KI 3),Taichong(LR 3),Xuehai(SP 10),Zusanli(ST 36)which were choosed by TCM differentiation.All these acupuncture points were acupunctured by neutral supplementation and draining method.The course of treatment was once per day,six times for one course,after every course relax one day,after four courses of treatment to evaluate the clinical efficacy.The Pure tone audiometry results and the level of deafness changes before and after treatment were observed.Results1.The curative effect deafness results: 24 cases were cured,12 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective and 2 cases were ineffective and The total effective rate for deafness efficacy was 95.55% in the experiment group.13 cases were cured,9 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective and 8 cases were ineffective and The total effective rate for deafness efficacy was 82.22% in the control group.After treatment the level of deafness changes for the experiment group and the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05),the experiment group more better.For Statistical test,the experiment group and the control group all can treat the different level of deafness,and the low level better than the high level,the Fameng Acupuncture Method better than the Traditional Acupuncture Method.For Statistical test,the experiment group and the control group were effective for the patients with Different syndrome types,the Fameng Acupuncture Method better than the Traditional Acupuncture Method for Qizhixueyu type patients.2.The curative effect of tinnitus results: 21 cases were cured,6 cases were markedly effective,6 cases were effective and 2 cases were ineffective and The total effective rate for tinnitus efficacy was 94.29% in the experiment group.13 cases were cured,5 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective and 1 cases were ineffective and The total effective rate for tinnitus efficacy was 97.05% in the control group.For Statistical test,the experiment group and the control group can treat tinnitus,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The experiment group and the control group can reduce the point of the THI.The experiment group and the control group can reduce the level of tinnitus but has no statistically significant between them.3.TCM symptoms grading quantitative scoring results:The score of the experiment group was 3.16±0.593,and the score of the control group was 5.13±0.639,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After the treatment by the Fameng Acupuncture Method or the Traditional Acupuncture Method,the TCM symptoms grading quantitative score were reduced,the hearing loss,tinnitus,ear tightness,vertigo and Patient self-severity score were treated,the Fameng Acupuncture Method better than the Traditional Acupuncture Method in improving the hearing loss and reducing the Patient self-severity score.ConclusionThe Fameng Acupuncture Method can significantly treat the patients withSudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss and improve the concomitant symptom such as tinnitus,ear tightness,vertigo better than the Traditional Acupuncture Method.So the Fameng Acupuncture Method Can be used as an effective method for clinically treating Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss.
