Peony belong to genus of Paeoniaceae of Paeonia,the oil from peony seeds has health characteristic as it is rich in components of linoleic acid and linolenic acid.The peony seeds oil is a kind of woodly nuts oil.It is nutritious and good for health protection.But there are few reports on peony seeds oil and its residues utilization aspects.In the present work,peony seed was set as oil raw material,hexane was set as the extraction solvent.Ultrasonic assisted extraction method was ultilized to extract oil from peony seeds.The conditions in this process of ultrasonic assisted extraction method were studied through single factor and orthogonal experiment methods and the better conditions were found.Peony seed oil and seed oil extraction process were studied by SEM,GC-MS,FTIR,TG and other characterizations.Composition and oxidative were stability depth studied.Meanwhile,the experiment use peony seed oil extract residue(Peony seed pods)to extract pectin under microwave extraction method.In this process,it is to study its composition,and to optimize the extraction process.The results showed that the linolenic acid content in peony seed oil is 40.63%,linoleic acid content in peony seed oil is 26.11%.The ultrasonic assisted extraction method is more effective than peso's peony seed oil extraction method,but the two extraction methods do not affect the peony seed oil compositions.Univariate and response surface method test,the ultrasonic assisted extraction peony seed oil optimum conditions were:ultrasonic extraction time of 54 min,liquid ratio of 23:1,ultrasonic temperature of 54?,under the conditions of peony seeds oil extraction rate was 29.33%,the rate of ultrasonic assisted extraction method is much higher than the rate of extraction in a Soxhlet extraction method.Peroxide value(PV),conjugated diene value(CD),free fatty acids(FFA),2-thiobarbituric acid value(TBARS),anisidine value(AnV)and so on were indicators on Peony seed oils oxidative stability.The experiment evaluated these indicators,the results showed that highly unsaturated fatty acid content in the peony seeds oil made it easily oxidized;try to add rosemary extract(essential oil,rosemary acid,canosic acid)as a natural antioxidant to improve the oxidative stability of peony seed oil,showed ability to inhibit lipid oxidation by strong to weak as follows:carnosic acid(92%purity)>di-tert-butyl-p-cresol(positive control)>rosemary acid>rosemary essential oils,sage acid(purity 92%)inhibitory effect peony seed oil oxidation was best.Microwave extraction can damage cell structures Peony seed pods,so that the dissolution of pectin extracted pectin.Univariate and response surface method test,the microwave extraction of pectin extracted Peony seed pods optimum conditions:extraction solution of pH 2,the microwave time of 20 min,microwave power of 540 W,solid-liquid ratio of 1:30,under these conditions,pectin Peony pod yield was 10.42%.
