Objective:Through case review research, this study was done to analyze the cognitive function and quality of life in 64 lung cancer patients with non-brain metastases.Various factors that may affect cognitive function were explored to provide a theoretical basis for clinical individualized treatment. Methods:We collected the clinical data of 64 lung cancer patients with non-brain metastases from January 2016 to April 2017 in Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and retrospectively analyzed potential influencing factors including gender, age, educational level,KPS score, pathological type, cycles of chemotherapy and so on.Univariate correlation analysis was performed using the Wann-whitney U test.Logistic regression analysis was adopted to compare the difference of each inferior group in cognitive function.Statistical significance was defined as P<0.05.Results:The univariate analysis showed that patients' age, education level, tumor stage,KPS score, and quality of life had influence on cognitive function assessed by MOCA scale(P<0.05).Patients' age, education level,KPS score and quality of life affected the cognitive function assessed by the MMSE scale(P<0.05).The multivariate analysis showed that the level of education and quality of life were independent correlative factors of MOCA assessment of cognitive function, and age, education degrees and quality of life were independently related factors of MMSE to assess cognitive function. Conclusion:Of the 64 lung cancer patients with non-brain metastases assessed by MOCA,92.2%had cognitive impairments of different degrees,of which 81.25%showed mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and 10.9%showed severe cognitive impairment. The MMSE scale had a higher percentage of assessments.Only age, education and quality of life(ADL scale scores)were independently associated factors of cognitive function in non-brain metastatic patients with lung cancer.
