MRI Manifestations Of Primary Intraspinal Tumors

ObjectiveThis study is to investigate the MRI features and differential diagnosis of intraspinal lesions.MethodThe MRI manifestations of 207 cases of tumor-occupying lesions in intraspinal Canal confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.191 cases were conducted MRI plain scanning and contrast-enhanced scanning,while 16 cases were conducted plain scanning only.In 114 cases of schwannoma,there were two cases of schwannoma,one of which also had vascular lipoma,the other one has meningioma,there were 32 cases of meningioma,17 cases of neurofibromatosis,3 cases of nerve fibroma,accessory ganglion tumor in 3 cases,ganglion cell tumor in 2 cases,hemangioma in 8 cases,one case was cavernous hemangioma + Capillary tumor,arteriovenous hemangioma 2 cases,capillary tumor 2 cases,arteriovenous malformation in 3 cases,hemangioma in 4 cases,lipoma in 2 cases,neuroblastoma in 4 cases,astrocytoma in 2 cases,teratoma in 3 cases,arachnoid cyst in 2 cases,epidermoid cyst in 2 cases,sheath cyst in 1 cases,The old hematoma in 1 cases,solitary fibrous tumor(hemangioma)1 cases,fat fibrous hemangioma-like hyperplasia of 1 cases.ResultsMRI findings:25 cases of intramedullary tumors,150 cases of epidural tumors and 29 cases of extradural tumors.All 2 cases were affected by epidural and subdural and reached the vertebral side through the intervertebral foramen,there were 2 cases of spinal canal involvement,MRI diagnosis was80%(167/207);the age,sex,shape,location,involvement range,signal characteristics and changes of spinal cord in different tumors were characterized.ConclusionMRI can reflect the pathological characteristics of different vertebral canal tumors,which can be used for differential diagnosis.
