“ Yingxiang ” is first appeared in Grand Discussion on the Correspondence of Yin and Yang, the fifth chapter of Plain Questions.“Ying” means correspondence or the response, while “Xiang” means presentation or the appearance of things. In this paper, the author discusses the relationship between Yin and Yang in human body and Yin and Yang of the natural world, and the connection between the two objects. Therefore, the Yingxiang theory began in “ The Medicinal Classic of Huangdi”.Selecting “The Medicinal Classic of Huangdi”as the main research object, this paper makes analysis and discussion on Yingxiang theory by reference to the traditional medical writings, with the purpose of preliminarily building theoretical framework of this theory and logically highlighting its effects in all fronts of traditional Chinese medicine. The paper is divided into theoretical parts and applied research, which are summarized as follows now:From the perspective of theoretical parts, this paper explores the philosophical origins and the essence of this theory、the similarities and differences of the related research topics, which have been used to probe into the view of life of traditional Chinese medicine. We have a conclusion that everything in the world is “Xiang”,which been made by the “Yin and yang” and the “six factors in nature” movement;“Yin and yang” and “six factors in nature” movement are existing objective, rather than a purely philosophical concept;“Xiang” has the characteristics of time and space, dominance and recessivity, opening and closing, and being the specimen. The understanding of life and the further treatment of disease of traditional Chinese medicine are all based on these characteristics. From the perspective of applied research, this paper, basing on theoretical studies, combines the traditional Chinese medicine literature works like “The Medicinal Classic of Huangdi ” with the application of Yingxiang theory in traditional Chinese medicine physiology,Pathology,Diagnostics,Science of health preservation,Therapeutic principles and methods,Chinese herbology,Science of prescription and Clinical practice on the principle of placing the evidence from “The Medicinal Classic of Huangdi”first, then digging into something that have not mentioned in this book, and further analyzing the rule and revelation of application in order to widen the extent of application according to the content of theory. This thesis arrives at many conclusions as curing diseases have to note both symptoms and diseases in Therapeutic principles and methods; In the matter of prescription compatibility, diagnosis adopts the“space-time reciprocity method ”.This study has literature theoretical value, with a certain sense of inspiration and guidance for TCM clinical practice at the same time. |
