ObjectivesThis paper is to understand the current status of self-management behavior?family function and level of hope for patients with cerebral infarction. It's also to explore the factors that affect self-management behavior of patients,in order to provide reference and conclusion to help them improve their self-management behavior.MethodsBased on simple random sampling in statistics, patients with cerebral infarction in a Tier-3A hospital from an Institution, from April 2016 to October 2016,were selected in our study. The data were collected, extracted and analyzed by sending the following questionnaires to the patients:General Information?Herth Hope Index?Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale Second Edition(Chinese Vernsion,FACES ?—CV),as well as Self-Management Behavior Rating Scale for Stroke Patients. The data of the questionnaires were recorded and analyzed by SPSS18.0 statistical software.Statistical methods applied include descriptive statistical analysis,t-test,One-Way ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis.Results1.The total score of self-management behavior for patients with cerebral infarction is 166.34±22.05.The three categories with lowest scores are rehabilitation exercise, emotion management, and safe medication2.The average score of level of hope for patient with cerebral infarction is 28.62±4.96.Among them, the low-level scoring group accounted for 4.90%,and 59.15%for the median scoring group,35.95%for the high-level scoring group3.The score of family intimacy for patient with cerebral infarction is 61.4917.43.It is statistically insignificant(P>0.05)comparing with domestic norm The score of family adaptability is 45.06±6.14,which is statistically significant(P<0.05)comparing with domestic norm.4.The correlation coefficient is r=0.407 between the total score of self-management behavior and the total score of family function, and r=0.344 between the total score self-management behavior and the total score of level of hope,r=0.320 between the total score of family function and the total score of level of hope. All of them are statistically significant(P<0.05 for all)5.Multiple logistic regression analysis shows that marriage and happiness, life self-care,disease history, adaptability and level of hope are the influencing factors for patients with cerebral infarctionConclusions1.The self-management behavior for patients with cerebral infarction is of low-to-mid level, especially it has more room for improvements in areas of rehabilitation exercise, emotion management and safe medicine management.2.The level of hope for patients with cerebral infarction is slightly above average.3.The family function for patients with cerebral infarction has a room to improve. There is no difference comparing with domestic norm, but the adaptability is lower than domestic norm.4.There is a positive correlation between the total score of self-management behavior and the total score of family function, the total score self-management behavior and the total score of level of hope,as well as the total score of family function and the total score of level of hope.5.The main factors that affect the self-management behavior for patients with cerebral infarction are:marriage and level of happiness, level of life self-care,disease history, adaptability and level of hope.
