ObjectiveStudy on distribution of TCM syndromes and related factors in senile vertigo,to provide theoretical basis and ideas for the prevention of senile vertigo, and improve the level of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of senile vertigo and improve the clinical efficacy.MethodsCollection of 242 cases of senile vertigo treated by emergency ward and cardiovascular ward and neurology ward in Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM and treated by neurology ward and geriatric ward in traditional Chinese medicine hospital of Guangyuan City in March 2015 to December 2016,collect the medical history and the four diagnostic information,follow-up record western medicine diagnosis on discharge day,set up database by Excel.SPSS21.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data of the patients.Results(1)A total of 242 elderly patients with vertigo were enrolled in this study. The ratio of male to female was 1:1.52;In the elderly patients with vertigo, with the age of patients increase, the proportion of hospitalized patients decreased gradually.(2)242 cases of elderly patients with vertigo syndrome types distribution forms are compared from high to low: 60 cases of hyperactivity of liver Yang(24.8%),44 cases of phlegm dampness syndrome(18.2%),42 cases of phlegm and blood stasis(17.4%),40 cases of kidney essence deficiency(16.5%),38 cases of deficiency of qi and blood(15.7%),18 cases of blood stasis(7.4%).(3)There was no significant difference in the distribution of different TCM syndromes of senile vertigo between men and women(P>0.05);There was no significant difference in the distribution of different TCM syndromes of senile vertigo in different age groups(P>0.05).(4)There were significant differences in the distribution of different TCM syndromes of senile vertigo in different course of disease groups(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the distribution of different TCM Syndromes of senile vertigo with different dietary preferences(P<0.05).(5)In 242 elderly patients with vertigo, the diagnosis of Western medicine is included in the posterior circulation ischemia in 160 cases(66.1%),155 cases of hypertension patients(64%),87 cases with hyperlipidemia(36%),42 cases with diabetes(17.4%),there are 38 cases of coronary heart disease(15.7%).(6)The relationship between Common diseases and distribution of TCM syndromes of senile vertigo showed that, there was no significant difference in the distribution of different TCM syndromes of senile vertigo in different groups with or without diabetes mellitus(P>0.05);There are six kinds of TCM syndromes distribution of posterior circulation ischemia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion(1)The patients of senile vertigo have the characteristics that, different diseases exist at the same time, multiple pathogenic factors, the pathogenesis is complex, not a single case,TCM syndrome are based on hyperactivity of liver Yang Syndrome and phlegm dampness syndrome, phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, which is syndrome of deficiency Ben and excessive biao. The longer the course of disease, the more complex the pathogenesis, the more likely the formation of phlegm, blood stasis and other pathological products.(2)The distribution of senile vertigo syndrome was correlated with the dietary preference, the duration of the disease, posterior circulation ischemia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and coronary heart disease;Thoes chronic diseases as influencing factors were relationship with elderly patients with Senile vertigo of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome...
