ObjectiveTo investigate the influence factors of suicide thoughts in depression patients and the influence of eisenke's personality traits and coping styles on suicide thoughts in depression patients.MethodsUsing the method of convenient sampling,98 patients with depression were selected from December 12 to February 2018 to attend the Mental Health Department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. The criteria for admission to the study were in line with the diagnostic criteria of the fourth edition of the American Mental Disorder Diagnosis and Statistics Manua l(DSM-IV).Using Beck's suicide mind scale to score the first five groups of topics to measure whether depression patients have suicidal thoughts. With 2 points as the node(32 as a suicide idea and < 2 as a no suicide idea)98 patients with depression were divided into suicide thought groups(n = 22)and suicide thought groups(n = 76).Using the self-compiled general information questionnaire to collect general demographic data for the two groups of patients,The suicide thoughts, personality traits and coping styles of the two groups were assessed using the Chinese version of the Beck Suicide Idea Scale(BSI-CV),the Eisenke Personality Questionnaire(EPQ),and the TCSQ.Using SPSS 22.0 software for data entry and descriptive analysis,T test,ANOVA variance analysis,Pearson correlation analysis;Intermediary effect model is tested by sequential test method.Results(1)The results of the analysis of the suicidal ideation intensity of depression in different demographic characteristics showed that there were significant differences in the suicide ideation intensity of patients with depression with family history and different levels of education. The suicide thought intensity of patients with family history of depression is significantly higher than that of patients without family history of depression(t=3.399,P<0.001);People with low education level depression have significantly higher suicidal thoughts than those with high education level depression(F=0.412,P<0.05).(2)The results of the related analysis of suicide thoughts and personality traits and coping methods in patients with depression showed that the suicide thoughts of patients with depression were significantly positive related to Eisenke's personality(r=0.544,P<0.01)and neuroticism(r=0.623,P<0.05),and the extraversion dimension was significantly negative.Correlation(r=-0.367,P<0.01);There was a significant positive correlation between suicide thoughts and negative coping styles in patients with depression(r=0.603,P<0.01)and a significant negative correlation with positive coping styles(r=-0.525,P<0.01).(3)The differences of personality traits and coping styles of patients with depression with or without suicidal ideation were further analyzed based on the correlation analysis. The results showed that the suicide ideation group was significantly higher than the non-suicide ideation group in the eisenke personality(t=2.726,P<0.01)and neuroticism dimension(t=4.023,P<0.01),and significantly lower than the non-suicide ideation group in the extraversion dimension(t=-4.005,P<0.001).Patients with depression in the suicide ideation group scored significantly higher in the negative coping dimension than in the non-suicidal ideation group(t=3.154,P<0.01)and significantly lower in the positive coping dimension than in the non-suicidal ideation group(t=-3.584,P<0.001).(4)According to the intermediary test model of Wenzhonglin, the relationship between suicide thoughts, personality traits, and coping styles in patients with depression was explored by means of sequential tests. The results showed that the negative coping styles of patients with depression played a part in the mediation between neurotic personality and suicide thoughts.Intermediary effect ratio was 5.8 %(P<0.01).ConclusionThe personality traits of patients with suicidal depression tend to be high mental quality, high neuroticism, and low extraversion.People with suicidal depression tend to use negative coping methods frequently and avoid using positive coping methods; The neurotic personality of depression patients can directly predict the suicide thoughts of depression patients, and can also affect suicide thoughts by indirectly acting on depression patients through negative coping methods.
