A Clinical Observation On The Acupotomy To Loosen The Muscle Meridian Focus For The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the acupotomy to loosen the muscle meridian focus for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis through clinical randomized control.Methods:Sixty patients with KOA who met the criteria for inclusion in this study were randomly divided into observation group(n=30).They were treated with the acupotomy to loosen the muscle meridian focus around the knee,treated once every 6days,and continued for 3 times.In the control group,30 patients were treated with electro-acupuncture and traditional acupuncture points,treated once a day for thirty minutes,followed by five consecutive treatments for one course of treatment,and three courses of continuous treatment.Both two groups cooperated with knee function training during treatment.After treatment,the overall efficacy,VAS score,WOMAC index,and VMO/VL were evaluated before and after treatment in both two groups.Results:1.After treatment,the clinical efficacy of the observation group and the control group is compared.The total effective rate of both two groups is 100%.The observation group control rate is 83.33%.While,the control group control rate is53.33%.After statistical analysis,there is a significant difference between the observation group and the control group(P<0.05).2.After 3 months of treatment,the recurrence rate of the observation group is significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.The VAS scores,pain,rigidity,difficulties of daily activities,WOMAC total scores,and VMO/VL in the two groups before and after treatment are significantly different(P<0.05).After treatment,there is a significant difference between the observation group and the control group in terms of rigidity,difficulties of daily activities,WOMAC total scores,and VMO/VL(P<0.05).4.No serious adverse events occurred in KOA patients of the two groups duringthe treatment.In the incidence of clinical common adverse events,there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the two treatment options can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms and improve the function of patients with KOA,but the short-term curative effect and long-term curative effect of the acupotomy to loosen the Muscle Meridian Focus for the treatment of KOA are better than that of traditional acu-points.The acupotomy to loosen the Muscle Meridian Focus therapy in the knee joint was superior to traditional acu-points in the improvement of knee joint function in patients with KOA.2.There are no serious adverse events in both treatment options.3.The acupotomy to loosen the Muscle Meridian Focus for the treatment of KOA with targeted,effective and safe,besides,patients are happy to be treated with it,so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
