Objective:Observing the clinical efficacy of ear acupuncture combined with pulse in treating simple obesity and evaluating its safety, and provide evidence for selecting advantageous programs for clinical treatment of simple obesity and clinical promotion.Methods:72 patients with simple obesity who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated by ear acupuncture combined with pulse with life intervention, details as follows, ear acupuncture treatment for 15 minutes per day,5 days per week for a total of 8 weeks, with life intervention 8 weeks. The control group was treated by 8-week life intervention. Both groups were followed up on the 12 th and 16 th week of entering the group. The BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference, hip circumference,SF-36,WRSM and OWLQOL were determined and assessed in the beginning and after the end of the 8th week. The BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference were assessed at follow-up weeks 12 and 16.Serum triglycerides, total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol were measured in the beginning and after 8 weeks of treatment(2 times in total).Comparing the differences between the two groups and within the group.Results:1.A total of 72 patients were included in this study, among which 8 cases were shed in both groups during the period, among which 64 cases were actually observed for efficacy. There was no significant difference in the completion of the two groups of cases(P>0.05).2.The basic vital signs, demographic characteristics,pre-treatment BMI,pre-treatment body fat percentage,pre-treatment waist circumference,pre-treatment hip circumference,pre-treatment SF-36 scale score,pre-treatment OWLQOL score,pre-treatment WRSM score,pre-treatment laboratory index(TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C)of two groups were compared respectively, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The baseline was consistent and comparable.3.The total effective rate was 69.70% in the treatment group and 32.26% in the control group after treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05)4.Comparison between groups: Comparing the total effective rate of the two groups after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparing the BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference, hip circumference,OWLQOL,TG,TC,HDL-C,and LDL-C,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in comparing SF-36 scores and WRSM scores(P>0.05).The BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference were compared between groups during the two follow-ups,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Intra-group comparison: Comparing BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference, hip circumference,PF of SF-36 scores,OWLQOL scores,TG,TC and LDL-C of therapy group before and after treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparing the other scores of SF except for PF,WRSM scores and HDL-C before and after treatment, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences in BMI,waist circumference, hip circumference and TG of the control group before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05);Comparing the body fat percentage, various scores in the SF-36,OWLQOL scores,WRSM scores,TC,HDL-C,and LDL-C before and after treatment, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences in BMI,waist circumference and hip circumference of the therapy group after treatment and at the first follow-up were statistically significant(P<0.05),the difference in the body fat percentage was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The difference in the body fat percentage of the control group after treatment and at the first follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05),the differences in BMI,waist circumference and hip circumference were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences in BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference of the therapy group after treatment and at the second follow-up were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences in BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference of the control group after treatment and at the second follow-up were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences in BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference of the therapy group at the first follow-up and at the second follow-up were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences in BMI,body fat percentage, waist circumference and hip circumference of the control group at the first follow-up and at the second follow-up were not statistically significant(P>0.05).6.Comparing the safety of the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The total effective rate of the ear acupuncture combined with pulse with life intervention in the treatment of simple obesity is greater than simple life intervention therapy.2.The ear acupuncture combined with pulse with life intervention therapy has obvious advantages in lowering BMI,body fat rate, waist circumference and hip circumference of simple obesity patients, its short-term curative effect is considerable, and the long-term efficacy is better than simple life intervention therapy, the long-term curative effect is stable.3.The ear acupuncture combined with pulse with life intervention therapy has no advantage in improving the overweight symptoms and the overall quality of life of patients with simple obesity, but it can can reduce the life trouble of patients caused by obesity and increase the quality of life related to obesity,in addition,it can improve the physiological function of patients.4.The ear acupuncture combined with pulse with life intervention therapy has advantages in reducing TG,TC,LDL-C of patients with simple obesity, and has no effect on HDL-C.5.The ear acupuncture combined with pulse therapy is safe and effective, worthy of further clinical research and promotion...
