| Objective:Through Zelen'S to observation the clinical of Acupuncture in the treatment of perennial allergical rhinitis and the influence on serum IgE?IL-4Methods:Using the zelen's method through the randomized,60 patients with a history of PAR were randomly assigned by computer-generated randomization listed into treatment group(aupuncture)or control group(Dseloratadine Citrate Disodium Tablets),The patients who entered the control group were given drug treatment at randomly.The patients who entered the treatment group were given informed consent.If they agreed it,they entered the acupuncture group.If they did not,they entered the control group.patients of treatment group receive four course of treatments,three times as a coures of treatment.while the control group took Dseloratadine Citrate Disodium Tablets)once a day for 28 days.The main outcome measures include the primary and secondary indicators,primary indicators were subjective symptoms scores evaluated by bisual analogue scales(VAS)and Rhinconjunctivitis Quality of Life Qustionnaires(RQLQ),The secondary indicators were the results of endoscopic and laboratory examinations,such as the serum IgE and IL-4.With VAS and RQLQ before the treatment and after two?four coures of the treatment,in the 2th and 4th week after the treatment.With nasal endoscopy,serum IgE and IL-4 before and after treatment.The datum were recorded and analysed to assess the efficay and safety of aupuncture in treatment of AR,to evaluate differences of the two groups between the main and secondary indicators.the adverse events were also recorded as one of the secondary indicators.Results:1?the baselines of the two groups showed on statistical differences2?The RQLQ sores:Comparison before and after treatment there was significiant difference in treatment groups;Comparison with control group there were no difference between two groups except the activity and emotion scores in second week fourth week which the control group is batter than treatment group.in the first follow-up,There were no difference betweent the two groups.but in the second follow-up,there were significantly difference between the two groups,it is indictates that Acupuncture effect is better than drug.3?The VAS sores:Comparison before and after treatment there were significiantly difference in treatment groups;Comparison with control group there were no difference between two groupsexcept the Sneezing and runny nose scores,in second week fourth week which the control group treatment is batter than treatment group.in the first follow-up,There were no difference betweent the two groups.but in the second follow-up,there were significantly difference between the two groups,it is indictates that Acupuncture effect is better than drug.4?Comparison before and after treatment,the serum total IgE and IL-4 were detected(P <0.05),there were significantly difference of the two groups.but there was no significantly difference between the two groups.5?Nasal endoscopy: before and after acupuncture treatment,there was statistical difference in the improvement of turbinate size(P < 0.05),there was no statistical difference in nasal mucosa color and nasal secretion(P > 0.05),while in drug group,the size of turbinate was before and after treatment.There was statistical difference in the improvement of secretion(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference in the improvement of nasal mucous membrane(P > 0.05),the improvement of nasal secretion was better than that of acupuncture group(P < 0.05).6?No adverse events occured in the treatment group.Conclusion:Acupuncture can relieve clinical symptoms inpatients with allergic rhinitis(VAS score)and improve the quality of life(RQLQ score),Throughoutout the course of the treatment except for sneezing,runny nose,activity and emotion,which control group is better than acupuncture group,the treatment efficacy of the two groups was the same.especially in the fellowing-up,the treatment efficacy is batter than control group.Bouth of the two groups can reduce the serum total IgE and IL-4,and improve the endoscopic examination to a certain extent.No adverse events were reported during the treatment and follow-up,indicating that acupuncture is safe in treating allergic rhinitis. |
